I don't rage game and I don't think this controller could withstand a throw. But it is good quality otherwise.

It feels like they've upgraded the build quality on this newer generation of controllers. Feels very solidly made and I'm confident it will have a long life even with a teenager who's not "delicate" with things all the time.
