Controllers get worn out, everyone knows that. They seem to last about a year (1-3 hours gameplay a day with a little more time on weekends) and they develop drift or the buttons stop responding so well, it just happens. I recommend getting a controller with the rubber pads on the back for comfort and grip, and getting a higher amp hour rechargeable battery for them. The downside that seems to bother me the most is “updating” the controller. It seems silly to me that they need updates every few months. It is annoying to have to do that when you are trying to enter a lobby with friends. Otherwise, the rubber grip Xbox controller is fine. They could seriously lower the price by about 25% and I would still feel like it’s too expensive as well though. Still, the color options make it where everyone in the house can have one in a different color scheme.

The grips on the handle and the detail that was put into the design of the remote is extremely well done. I’ve only noticed a slight problem recently with possible stick drift? But perhaps it may be an issue with the game I’ve been playing with this remote (Fallout 4). Either way I still don’t mind this purchase, this remote is now THE remote haha

While the grip may not feel too high quality and the D-Pad is much more clicky than the last generation, the controller is built very solid and is definetly an improvement over the last generation Xbox Series X controller. Well built and sturdy. Conceding goals on fifa won’t lead to breaking the pad from a frustrated tight squeeze. Lol . I also love the new grainy like grip on the handles. There are rechargeable AA batteries you could use, or run a straight cable from the connection port (which is usb-c). I’d say it’s an easy to use pad. This at $59.99 is at market value. There are discount sales that usually pop up towards the end of the year and sometimes in the summer. You could get a good price then.
