Its no Elite 2... But it finishes 1st
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently got my hands on the Microsoft Xbox Wireless Controller, and I’ve gotta say, it’s a solid piece of controller! The design feels great—comfortable grip, responsive buttons, and textured triggers make long gaming sessions easy. What really stands out is its versatility. This thing works seamlessly across so many devices: Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Windows PCs, Android, iOS, and some smart TVs. Pairing it via Bluetooth or Xbox Wireless is a straightforward, and I love that I can switch between my console, phone, and laptop without missing or dropping anything. The battery life (with the AA batteries or optional rechargeable pack) is decent, lasting through marathon gaming. My only gripe is the lack of a built-in rechargeable battery in the base model, but overall, it’s a reliable, cross-compatible champ that’s tough to beat for the price

Changes aren’t a revelation, but satisfying.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.XBOX controller 2020 version. I changed my mouse to a G502 to get a sniper button. It was like the G900 I also use so easy to make the change. Now I looked at my XBOX controller. Is the newer version better? What can you say about a controller that seems so unchanged? Plenty more than I thought. The size is inconsequentially smaller. You’ll forget it ten minutes into a game as the usefulness takes over. What could be more useful on this thing? The four-position rocker is now a CIRCULAR affair verses a STAR shaped affair. That’s not really the big deal. What is, is the FEEL of the rocker is now much, much more precise and give great tactile feedback in long game sessions. Play RDR2? Ya, you know what I mean when you use this feature over and over. The shoulder switches also are improved inside. The FEEL is again way better, with a positive CLICK. This isn’t as pronounces as the 4-way toggle, but it is still better. The controller has much better texture on the surface for better GRIP in gaming. This seems superfluous but it isn’t if you play more than an hour. It really helps in fighting games like Devil May Cry series or the Shadow of Mordor series where stuff is quick and tactical feel is important. The trigger’s are a different but inconsequential shape change and more same, same. No real detriment that they stayed near the same. Feel and precision isn’t different to me in use. That’s good as it was OK before. The added screen picture button is place below the other two standard buttons, so if it is of use great. If not, no harm no foul. The new button isn’t in the way but it is easy to get to if you use the screen capture feature. The finish is now a matte color in black verses a more shiny surface. Just different. Joy sticks seem identical with the anemic center press “click” being the worst tactile feel of all switches but...you get used to it. So that's it. More than I expected and they did make it better without messing something up that was working. That’s not actually hard to do, break what seemed OK before. They took a risk and it worked. The changes aren’t a revelation, but they are satisfying.

JUST WHAT I NEEDED!!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This controller works great!! I had an issue with my old controller with stick drift and decided to get a new one and was not disappointed. If I had a complaint it would be the batteries die fairly often I don’t know if that’s an issue with all Xbox controllers or just my experience. overall I’m very happy with my purchase!

I’ve been using my Xbox Wireless Controller for months now, and it’s easily the best gaming controller I’ve ever owned. The ergonomic design fits perfectly in my hands, with textured grips that prevent slipping even during intense sessions. Buttons are responsive, triggers feel precise, and the D-pad is spot-on for fighting games or menus. Connectivity is seamless – pairs instantly with my Xbox Series X, PC, and even phone for cloud gaming. Battery life lasts ages (up to 40 hours!), and the share button makes capturing clips a breeze. The hybrid D-pad and improved thumbsticks make every game feel more immersive and accurate. Compared to older controllers or competitors, this one wins on comfort, build quality, and features. Whether playing FPS, racing, or RPGs, it elevates the experience. Highly durable too – no stick drift after heavy use! If you’re gaming on Xbox or PC, this is a must-have. Worth every penny – absolute 5 stars!

Improving on an already Good Design
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Since, the Xbox 360 days, Xbox controllers have been the gold standard in my view of controller design. The Series X controller is an evolution rather than a revolution, adding texture to key grip points and improving the dpad. It also adds a share button for the sharing functionality on the console. Overall, I have no complaints, and using the Series X controller with my old Microsoft USB adapter on my PC worked without a hitch. Definite recommend for anyone who wants to refresh their peripheral.

It feels super comfy in your hands and has cool grip spots so it won't slip. You can connect it to lots of devices like Xbox, PC. I use it exclusively for PC and it has been great. Definitely a must-have for gamers! I'm not a professional gamer by any means so I can't compare it to higher end models but for the casual gamer it's great!

Very good product but shame about the battery
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Set up was easy (for both a direct connection to Windows as well as via Parsec for remote gaming). Feel in the hand is good (grippy but not too rough). Sticks, triggers and buttons have the right amount of resistance. Would have been 5 stars if it had come standard with the rechargeable battery pack instead of being an optional extra (but I bought that anyway to spare myself the chore of swapping and tossing AA batteries into a landfill). Really, that's more of a 1/2 star penalty. So my rating is more like 4.5 stars

The best controller!!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Xbox controller has been improved but keeping the design we all love and enjoy. I love the new "Share" button that allows you to take screenshots instantly. This was the main reason I purchased this controller to use with my Xbox One. Also, the triggers have improved grip which is awesome. The new D-pad is great!! The overall controller feels wonderful and I am very happy with my purchase. I plan to purchase different colors when more colors are available. Also, I am very happy that my battery packs from my Xbox One controllers work flawlessly on the new Xbox controller. Thank you, Microsoft!!

Perfect design, beware of quality issues.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Perfect design in my opinion. Feels a bit better than the Xbox One controller, but very similar. The design is already good so I didn't want a big change. Huge plus for USB-C being the standard now. One star off for quality issues, Xbox controllers are prone to developing drift and other issues. The added cost of Geek Squad protection is unfortunately needed if you plan to avoid buying a new one every two years. This controller I bought has no issues, however I've owned previous controllers that develope drift within a year.
