Time will tell if the thumb sticks hold up to an 8 year old. Only con I for sure can say is I was a little disappointed that the new style does not allow for the previous style rechargeable battery to fit with the cover. Can still fit the battery itself, but the protective cover (that came with the rechargeable batt) has different clips. Oh well. Still rather use it than replacing AA every few weeks.

I bought this controller to use with my windows 10 laptop and steam games. I put the batteries in, turned the controller on, and paired it with my laptop like any other bluetooth device. I fired up steam and steam immediately recognized the controller and applied the settings to the games I tried it on, killer 7 and Star Wars Pod Racer game.

You will occasionally get a dud (Rare), but it happens. You cannot find a product made by man that doesn't fit that description. Bought it for my wife.

This was an upgrade for an older Xbox one controller. The differences are subtle, but worthwhile. D-pad is greatly improved. The texture on the grip is also a nice improvement. I will be purchasing some different colored controllers in the near future for sure.

I use this controller to game on windows and it just pairs instantly and supports all the games. I would also recommend buying the rechargeable battery because the batteries might run out in less than 6 months if you use it very frequently. In hand feel is great and the buttons are tactile and clicky.

I've wanted to try out the Xbox Ultimate Game Pass and picked this controller up as well. Other than matching my color scheme of my PC and being a Playstation user the past couple of years, this controller is very comfortable to hold and feels premium. Easy to pair with Windows via bluetooth or wired, I'm happy with my purchase.
