I recently visited the Best Buy Outlet and had a great experience purchasing a game controller. The associate who helped me, Luke, was outstanding. His knowledge of different brands and features was impressive, and he made recommendations without being pushy—just clear, helpful, and respectful. The controller he guided me toward has worked perfectly, and I feel confident in my purchase thanks to his support. Luke’s professionalism and genuine customer care really stood out. He’s a true asset to the store, and I left feeling valued and well taken care of. Thank you, Luke, for making my shopping experience great.

    Good controller.

Good controller, it's a slight update from the existing xbox One controller. Physically it feels the same as my old controller. Buttons feel good not too soft and not super clicky like some 3rd party controllers. There is a slight change to the battery door, the old door it is angled slightly to the front of the controller and where it meets the bezel at the charge port it sweeps out: the new xbox Series X/S controller it's more straight without the bent sweep by the bezel it feels more flush to that bezel. Rechargable battery, the original charge and play battery pack from Microsoft will indeed fit in this controller, you do have to use a USB-C cable to charge it but it does work and does charge, you lose the tiny charging light indicator though (it was removed even on the new play and charge kit from MS). Any USB-C cable will work with this controller same as they do with any android phone/tablet or game console that uses USB-C. Now what I don't like is how clicky the D-pad is, I like the feel of the D-pad I just don't like how noisy it is, it also feels like it hangs up on something internally if I try to make full circles with it. This may smooth out with repeated use. I got mine in White to match my computer case and I do like the fact that the front bezel is also white. I also like the A, B, X, Y buttons being colored and not the same color as the blue, neon green, and red controllers. All in all it's a solid controller with very minor upgrades and cosmetic changes.

Good controller, much better than the Xbox One controllers in regards to wear and tear and functionality after long use with the thumbsticks. Been using mine for almost two years and the thumbsticks still work well. These controllers also work great for PC as well.

Everything is fine with the controller except the A button gets stuck pretty frequently. From what I’ve read this is a pretty common problem in Xbox controllers even if they are brand new. But for $60 I expect It to Work especially right out of the box.

I got this controller new about a year ago and it still works great. Excellent response to player input and looks fantastic. My one complaint is that I bought a rechargeable battery pack to go with it, and with out the battery cover it doesn't stay in all they way consistently. Other than that I love it.

Large Hands Beware - Otherwise Welcome Upgrade

I received my updated controller with my Series X, and I immediately became a fan of the new textured grip and share button. However, after playing games for any extended period of time I noticed pain/strain in my hands that had never occurred with my older Xbox One controllers. After looking into the changes, it turns out the new controller size has been reduced to better fit smaller hands. Unfortunately this is an unwelcome change for someone with larger hands, and I had to switch back to my original Xbox One controller on my brand new Series X. This may not be an issue for many, but it's a very big issue for me. If the size had stayed the same as the outgoing Xbox One controller I would give this 5 stars, but being unable to use it for longer periods of time without pain is a huge drawback.

Has some major upgrades over XBox One controller

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

This controller may look like the older XBox One controller, but there’s a few key differences and borrows a lot from the Elite controller. It’s slightly smaller, but not in a way that would hinder gameplay if you have larger hands. The D-Pad is a different design that allows a much greater range of motion, especially for platformers and fighting games. The controller and triggers have a raised texture, so you won’t slip up when you get sweaty palms. There’s a share button, but I haven’t used it much to really comment on it. The most significant change is the inclusion of DLI (Dynamic Latency Input), which greatly reduces input lag. This is a game changer if you play competitively, as this is something that even the Elite controller doesn’t have yet. So in some regards this controller has some major upgrades over the Elite controller at a fraction of the cost.

I use this controller to game on my PC. It fits my hands well and is fun to play with and responsive. It’s also quite sturdy. I’ve dropped it many times since first getting it and it’s still working great. For PC gaming at least, I’d recommend getting rechargeable batteries or a power cord in addition to the controller; it’s a bummer when your batteries die and you don’t have any more in the house.
