I was somewhat disappointed with the Xbox controller. It’s been years since I’ve used one, and was expecting better quality. The base controller does not come with a rechargeable battery pack. You have to spend another $20-$30 if you don’t want to keep buying AA batteries. Come on Microsoft… Sony Dual Shock controllers all come with rechargeable barriers built in… At $60 I would expect this controller to be rechargeable. The A-B-X-Y buttons felt cheap and were not enjoyable to use. They were hard to press, kinda sticky, and overall just not a great experience. Triggers, bumpers, and sticks were fine enough. No complaints. Connecting to my Windows 11 desktop was a breeze and made playing certain games on PC way more enjoyable. Controller is customizable if you use the Xbox app on your PC. If you don’t mind spending $60 for a mediocre controller experience with no rechargeable batteries then this is the one for you. Otherwise, you might be better off going with a third party controller or upgrading to the Elite controller. I ended up returning it and getting an Elite controller instead.

These controllers last about 2 years with heavy play. They can take a beating.

This new controller feels good and works great. I use it for my PC and Mac games that support controllers. Outstanding!!!

I have several of this model in various colors. All performance is very good on those and this one was no exception. I can toss this thing into my luggage and forget about it. And it will fire right up and play my favorite games on my pc or on the Xbox. Great no frills control.
