Reliable, smooth, and high-quality. Highly recomme
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this for my son and it was absolutely worth it. The Microsoft Xbox Wireless Controller in Carbon Black has been excellent from day one. The connection was instant and stable, zero lag, zero interruptions, even during his fast-paced gaming sessions. The responsiveness is spot on. I don't really game, but the grip feels comfortable, and the buttons and triggers have a clean, precise feel. He uses it for his Xbox. My son has been using it since the night we purchased it and has had no issues at all.

A perfect controller
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s a good controller that’s easy to use and feels good in hands. The grin on the back definitely helps when your into a game and your hands are getting sweaty. Even tho the price is a bit too high I still recommend it. The color is also nice. I’ve been using it for quite a while and had no problems except changing the battery once or twice in a few months. Over all, it’s a great buy and I recommend it.

Used to be my #1 controller.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Xbox series controller used to be my favorite controller to use. But I always hated 2 things about it and there are better solutions that don't have these issues. Now these are preferences instead of actual facts, but it may matter to you. The main gripes I have is how loud the dpad and face buttons. The dpad is loud enough that when playing say MK11 it gets annoying. I don't have that issue with the Dualsense controller. The face buttons are not only loud, but they are a bit rounder then I'd like. Both of these issues are addressed with the Dualsense controller from Sony. However if you prefer the stick placement it's hard to go wrong with this controller. It's tried and true and definitely has better PC compatibility than the Dualsense. I would definitely recommend getting some rechargeable batteries or even a battery pack for this. Easy to use, easy to upgrade the firmware, and has the best compatibility on the market with PC gamepass and Steam.

A Versatile and Reliable Gaming Companion
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Microsoft Xbox Wireless Controller in Robot White is a versatile gaming accessory compatible with Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, and Windows devices. After thorough use, here's my 4-star review of this controller. Pros: 1. Compatibility (5/5): This controller's broad compatibility across various Xbox consoles and Windows devices makes it a versatile gaming accessory. You can seamlessly switch between platforms without the need for additional setup. 2. Ergonomic Design (4/5): The controller's design is comfortable to hold for extended gaming sessions. The textured grips and well-placed buttons ensure a secure and ergonomic gaming experience. 3. Reliable Wireless Connection (4/5): The wireless connectivity of the Xbox Wireless Controller is robust, providing a stable connection with minimal input lag. This is crucial for a responsive and immersive gaming experience. 4. Impressive Battery Life (4/5): The controller's battery life is commendable, lasting for many hours of gameplay on a single charge. Rechargeable batteries further reduce the long-term cost of ownership. 5. Customizable Buttons (4/5): The controller supports button remapping, allowing you to customize the button layout to suit your preferences and gaming style. Cons: 1. Dated Design (3/5): While the design is comfortable and familiar, it hasn't seen significant changes over the years. Some users may prefer a more modern and innovative design. 2. Separate Purchase for Rechargeable Battery (3/5): The controller doesn't come with a rechargeable battery by default, requiring users to purchase one separately or rely on disposable batteries. Conclusion: The Microsoft Xbox Wireless Controller in Robot White is a reliable and versatile gaming accessory that serves as an excellent companion for Xbox and Windows gamers. Its broad compatibility, comfortable design, reliable wireless connection, and impressive battery life make it a solid choice for both casual and serious gamers. While the design may feel somewhat dated compared to newer controllers on the market, its familiarity can be a comfort to long-time Xbox users. The separate purchase of a rechargeable battery or disposable batteries may be a minor inconvenience for some, but it's worth the investment for a long-term gaming setup. Overall, if you're in search of a dependable and widely compatible gaming controller that provides a comfortable grip and responsive performance, the Microsoft Xbox Wireless Controller is an excellent choice that won't

A Much Needed Improvement Over Xbox One Controller
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Series X controller lineup is far better than its Xbox One counterpart. While the controller is a little smaller, this change is for the better and truly doesn’t feel much different yet it does provide a more ergonomically sound fit in your hands. The stippling on the triggers and rear of the controller really improves grip. Hopefully this doesn’t wear too much with use but I’ll be keeping a close eye on it. So far, I’ve had no instances of ‘stick drift’ like I did with the Xbox One series of controllers. Overall, this was exactly the upgrade I wanted. Highly recommended!

Minor improvements, but still the same flaws.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This controller is really just a slightly revised Xbox One controller, which is both good and bad. The short version is that if you liked that controller, you will almost certainly like this one; if you didn't, you probably won't like this one. With that out of the way, let's start with the good. Ergonomically, this continues to be one of the best controllers out there, at least for games utilizing the left thumbstick for movement. There have apparently been some minor tweaks since the last generation, but it feels so similar in hand that I can't really tell you what they are. It does have a grippier texture and grip on the triggers now, though, both of which are nice. In terms of functionality, the d-pad has changed rather dramatically and the bumpers feel just a bit stiffer. Both of those changes will be subjective, but I can say that I don't mind the extra stiffness in the bumpers and I like the d-pad a lot more than I thought I was going to. However, the previous d-pad wasn't nearly so loud and clicky and I definitely preferred it that way. Also, the right bumper on my unit sounds different than the left. A mild annoyance, but still odd. And that's really it for changes (aside from having USB-C now). I will say that my particular unit seems to have better thumbsticks (in terms of drift) than any other Xbox controller I've owned, so I either got lucky or they have been paying more attention to that. Everything else feels and performs pretty much the same. On to the bad. The biggest problem is that, despite the hundreds of complaints about the Elite Series 2 in particular, Microsoft hasn't actually tried to fix the A button. They still use the same flawed contact design, so if you had issues with the button registering before, just know that nothing has really changed here. Mine isn't too bad, though, so I guess I got lucky. The A button on mine also sticks a bit, but I know that will go away with time/use. A small gripe I have is that when you unplug the controller, it turns itself back on. That also happened with the XB1 controllers, but this time that will also turn on your Xbox if it isn't already on. So imagine you had previously synced the controller with your Xbox but are now playing a game on your PC; when you unplug the controller, your Xbox turns on. That didn't happen with the XB1 controllers, so I'm not sure what changed or why, but it's pretty annoying. Fortunately, if you take the batteries out when using it wired, you don't have to worry about that. Another gripe is that the ring around the thumbsticks is quite rough, just as it was with the previous generation. Contrast this with the Switch Pro controller or DualShock 4, which are both quite smooth, or the DualSense which now has anti-friction rings as standard. Yes, you can sand it smooth if you take it apart (and void your warranty) or it might just smooth out over time, but it's still frustrating that they can't be bothered to spend two cents more on parts to put an anti-friction ring there. And finally, and I know a lot of people will disagree with me, I really wish they had added some sort of motion controls. This is now the third console generation in a row where Xbox is the only one without motion controls and it's starting to hold games back. I find them to be really good for shooters, but a lot of developers don't seem to want to bother implementing gyro aiming if it's going to give PlayStation an unfair advantage over Xbox when playing online. Everyone else has committed to them, so they're not going away. I think it's time to accept it. In summary, it's mostly more of the same but with some welcome (if minor) improvements to ergonomics. They could've done more to make it actually function better, but if you were happy with the previous generation, you'll like this one, too.
