It is purple or blue depending on how the light hits it, and it has a very interesting texture, almost like spray paint. The rubber grips on the back also feel more rubbery than my normal controller. Overall very happy with it.

great upgrade from Xbox one, but needs small tweak

Still with Microsoft would get with the program on recharging tech for batteries. Buying AA's in this day and age is not cool.

When pairing it to Steam, I noticed certain buttons were unresponsive. These were X, A, and the left button and trigger up top. I used the Steam controller configuration and testing, outside of any game, to notice those button "died". I caught this controller and another red one on sale during the past holiday. I paired them both up to my laptop and had no issues. I didn't have too change any settings in Steam. Just plug and play....

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent controller..feel good in hands..the only problem I had with previous Xbox controllers that RB button stop working and went through 3 controllers with same problems..hopefully they fixed the problems with this version but I highly recommend that you buy the protection plan so it at least you get piece of mind..best part about the protection plan is that BestBuy will replace it not fix it which is huge +! Bought it when it was on sale which was $44.99..

I've bought six of these so far for various uses and never had a problem. Pairing with Xbox is easy enough. Pairing with PC is pretty easy too. I miss the Xbox 360 series controller LED that let you know which player you were though. Get this controller over a 3rd party, cheaper alternative. And get lithium AA batteries. They last longer and leak battery acid.
