Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i know nothing about xbox controllers or console names! i thought this was a new controller for his current gen system but it turns out its not only for next gen but backwards compatible. thank god! only only downside was we also bought his a faceplate and gun shell buttons to customize this with but microsoft does not make for a friendly rehashing of their hardware, also not a bad thing when you really think about it.

Beautiful Controller

I bought this for my daughter and she absolutely loves it! It has a firm grip, compared to my original white controller, and all of the buttons feel great. Can’t complain at all about this controller!

Improvement over the previous gen controller

The controller is slightly smaller than the previous gen which I am neutral on since my hands aren't huge. Rumble seems improved to me. I can feel the rumble change direction with context of situation in Shadow of the Tomb Raider. I had some disconnection issue with my laptop, but I think that's a software issue as it doesn't do that with my desktop. The windows dongle was used in both cases.

Excellent game controller for Windows and other op

But the second one, had the first one for about 5 years. Now my wife and I can play MAME arcade games together. Bluetooth works perfect, battery life is decent. The newer ones actually will indicate the battery level and the Bluetooth status.

Gold shadow

It’s faded two tone color way really makes it feel special to own. I’ve always loved Shadow the hedgehog and having a golden shadow goes with that theme. The warranty on the controller is awesome too. You love to see it!

It would be great if Microsoft would allow the upload button to work when used with something other than an Xbox, but you can use Steam Big Picture to get around that. Only helps if you're using Steam though. Overall size works well with my hands. The material feels good and the sticks move smooth and don't feel cheap.

I can play most games just fine with it. Golfing is a little bit harder because the way the knobs are set up. I have to concentrate a great deal because my thumb can’t operate it efficiently.
