Just pair with bluetooth and go - I only need to pack the controller and a charging cable.

The D-Pad is more refined and the stippling on the underside makes for a more pleasant grip. At the same price as the Xbox one controllers, it isn't worth upgrading, but it is worth getting instead of the earlier model.
