This is for my older son and this is an amazing control. There is no drift, the connection is seamless. it is amazing to play with especially when connected to PC. i have bought a ton of controllers and this one my kids love and they are the experts :)

These new ‘carbon black’ models have upgraded stick controls and a textured body so they don’t slip in your grip.

And it's dimensions seem to make for a slightly bigger controller. With that being said, I prefer this new controller over the former.

I loved the secret background you unlock for your Xbox when having this controller connected.

Great improvement over the original XB1 controller

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The redesigned Xbox One controller for series X/S is a great improve over the original design. The controller is pretty much similar save for a few touches: 1) The D-pad has been redesigned. The original XB1 controller had a normal + design for the D-pad but with nothing for the diagonals, which made it awkward to use in certain games, e.g. fighting games. This new D-pad design is closer to the XB360 controller which makes slide inputs a little easier to do. 2) The connector port at the top of the controller is now a USB-C port instead of a janky micro USB port. The micro USB port on my old XB1 controller died out already, so this is a very much welcomed change. 3) There's now a dedicated "share" button, but I use this controller on my PC where the button doesn't seem to do anything, so I can't really comment on it. Overall it's a great controller! I don't have an Xbox S/X but I use this controller for PC gaming. I highly recommend it as it works natively out of the box.
