Improving on an already Good Design
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Since, the Xbox 360 days, Xbox controllers have been the gold standard in my view of controller design. The Series X controller is an evolution rather than a revolution, adding texture to key grip points and improving the dpad. It also adds a share button for the sharing functionality on the console. Overall, I have no complaints, and using the Series X controller with my old Microsoft USB adapter on my PC worked without a hitch. Definite recommend for anyone who wants to refresh their peripheral.

Great color and use for xbox but on phone
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Microsoft Xbox Wireless Controller in Shock Blue is a fantastic addition to any gaming setup. Right out of the box, the vibrant Shock Blue color makes a bold and stylish statement—it’s easily one of the best-looking controllers Microsoft has released. The build quality is excellent, with a comfortable ergonomic design that feels great in hand during long gaming sessions. The textured grips on the back and triggers provide solid control, while the hybrid D-pad is a noticeable improvement over previous generations, offering more precision for directional inputs. Performance-wise, the controller is responsive and consistent across a variety of games. Whether I’m playing fast-paced shooters or more relaxed story-driven titles, the buttons, triggers, and thumbsticks all feel snappy and well-calibrated. The addition of a dedicated Share button is also a nice touch for quickly capturing gameplay clips or screenshots. One of the controller’s biggest strengths is its compatibility. It works seamlessly with Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows PCs, and even mobile devices via Bluetooth. I’ve used it for Xbox Cloud Gaming on both Android and iOS without issues, and the ability to switch between devices is convenient once you get used to the pairing process. My only gripe is the use of AA batteries by default. While it offers good battery life (around 30-40 hours), I would have preferred a built-in rechargeable battery. Thankfully, Microsoft sells a rechargeable battery pack separately, which I’d recommend picking up if you game frequently. Overall, the Shock Blue Xbox Wireless Controller offers a great mix of style, performance, and versatility. It's a solid choice whether you're upgrading from an older controller or just want a unique new color for your setup. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a reliable and great-looking controller and so many colors too.

Microsoft controller
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.n my opinion, Microsoft controllers are some of the best options for both casual and serious gamers. They feel comfortable in the hands, with well-placed buttons and responsive triggers that make long gaming sessions more enjoyable. The build quality feels sturdy, and the wireless connectivity is usually stable with minimal lag. Many games support Microsoft controllers natively, which makes setup easy on Xbox consoles and Windows PCs alike. Some people might prefer lighter or more customizable options from other brands, but overall, the Microsoft controller strikes a great balance of performance, comfort, and reliability, making it a solid choice for most players.

The perfect controller
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Xbox series controllers are flawless. The color is bold and great to look at. The face buttons are not colored, but you can see the color associated to the buttons on the faceplate. Small grip but not a dealbreaker

New Controller (Same as the Old Controller)
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I used an Xbox One controller for light PC gaming the past number of years, and figured I'd upgrade to a Series S/X controller upon seeing it on sale. Figured I'd relegate the One controller to "guest" duty the rare times I may have a guest over for a gaming session. In terms of ergonomics, the Series controller feels real similar to the One before it, which is to say: it's a comfy piece of plastic. The textured grip & triggers of the Series controller make it even more comfortable. Also nice to see USB C for charging, though for a 2020s-era piece of tech, I reckon most people would expect it to be there. It paired about as easy with my PC as I could hope for, nothing dramatic to report on that front. One unfortunate thing with this controller that's been carried over from the One: Why, in the year 2024, is the rechargable battery a separate purchase? Why, this far into the 2020s, do we need batteries like gamers did when they had GameBoys in the 1990s/early 2000s? Sony's had rechargeable batteries in their PlayStation controllers since the PS3 days, Nintendo moved away from batteries in controllers after the Wii, it's baffling to me that Microsoft keeps opting for an antiquated charging scheme when the Switch Pro controller & DualSense today cost pretty darn close to what the Xbox Series controller costs without a separate charging kit (at their respective MSRP prices). But I digress, this controller is still a solid one for PC gaming. If you can find this on sale & don't mind having to either shell out a bit more for batteries or a proper charging kit, you can do a lot worse than this. If you find an older One controller for significantly cheaper, I low-key doubt you'd miss the textured grip & triggers that overly much. Overall, I'd grade this a 3.5/5 mostly out of spite for the battery situation, though I'll spite my spite & round the score up to a 4/5 for today.

Easy to pair with my TV so I can stream Xbox games. I bought an open box version and the batteries weren't included like the brand new one, so beware.

Thank you!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Staff was helpful, talked me into insurance which I normally don’t get, however stick drift happens within about 3-6months on these controllers, then need to purchase a new one which adds up. Remote works great.

Pretty good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Connectivity is fast and easy, whether you’re using it on an Xbox console or pairing it with a PC or mobile device. The wireless performance is strong, and input lag is practically nonexistent. That said, there are a couple of small downsides — the controller still uses AA batteries instead of a built-in rechargeable battery, which can get annoying if you play often. Also, the D-pad could be a bit quieter and more precise for fighting games or retro titles.
