This generation of Microsoft Xbox controllers has been a mixed bag. This is my fourth controller since I bought the series x the year it launched. I have had thumbstick drift, shoulder buttons sticking, and just reduced performance with the accuracy of the thumbsticks. The build and fit are exceptional from a feel and appearance pov, but the longevity is suspect.

The 4 out of 5 stars is just cause I believe Microsoft should already be using integrated batteries, the fact that we have to buy a battery pack is not ideal

Each kid's color coded so it's easier to keep track of things. They all work great. No issues. We use the Duracell rechargeable batteries. No issues with them. If you use regular alkaline or non-rechargeables expect to go through them fairly quickly.

I've bought six of these so far for various uses and never had a problem. Pairing with Xbox is easy enough. Pairing with PC is pretty easy too. I miss the Xbox 360 series controller LED that let you know which player you were though. Get this controller over a 3rd party, cheaper alternative. And get lithium AA batteries. They last longer and leak battery acid.
