On launch day, I was very happy to secure a XBOX Series X - a hugely in demand next generation console. I was able to get the unit from a company that has a red and white bullseye as its corporate logo. Based on observing the difficulty in which people are having getting the console, I figured there might be supply-demand issues for other critical components such as this product so I purchased on during Best Buy Black Friday Thanksgiving special. So far this product has remained in its box (unopened). I did get a sizeable discount on this product with the Best Buy Thanksgiving Sale special pricing. I have been using the black controller that came with the console and enjoy it very much. My only fear is that the controller might suffer the same irregular potentiometer drift issue that I experienced with the previous XBOX console generation (XBOX One X). I have about 5 controllers and all but 1 suffered from that annoying drift issue which made many game unplayable such as COD:MW where tight control of the analog stick is imperative. If the stick in neutral position is drifting, it is very difficult to overcome that during gameplay.

The new Xbox One Controller sticks aim for maximum precision and comfort. They are smaller and have a grooved texture that makes them easier to grip.

Ive been using for red dead redemption 2 on pc so ive had about 50 hours of game play with it and it works great plus with a rechargeable battery i can’t complain about a thing!

They haven’t really changed since the Xbox 360, and have t changed at all since last gen. That said, my only real gripe is no rechargeable battery. These things eat AAs too, so expect to go through a lot or buy a third party rechargeable since the Microsoft ones are always out of stock everywhere.

This controller just feels great to use The digital directional pad is a phenomenal improvement over the Xbox One controller. I do occasionally hit the new share button inadvertently. I like the super bright color, It tells everyone else to keep their hands off of my controller!

Using the controller for gaming on my Windows 10 PC. It is a really nice controller to use. Perfect weight and balance. I also like the texture and feel of it. Buttons and sticks work very well and perfectly calibrated out of the box. Plus the red color is just cool! Still on first set of batteries after a month of regular use.

Bought this to play games on the Apple TV which either required or recommended a game controller. It seems to accomplish this task well. I was a little disappointed that this unit does not have rechargeable batteries, but as infrequently as it gets used this is not a huge problem. Just recently saw on the Apple TV control panel that this controller has a firmware update to improve connectivity issues. I haven’t gotten around to this yet, but wish me luck that I get it updated (on a PC?) soon.
