Don't buy if you have older model of Xbox

It will disconnect randomly, often every 5-10 seconds. Followed all Microsoft instructions including firmware updates on controller and Xbox. Apparently this is a know issue with no estimated fix date. Stinks because have no option to buy old model controller. Only option that has been suggested is to buy wire to use between controller and Xbox. MS offers no support on their site for this issue. But after a good cleaning and a disassemble, the controller works great.
