Honesly didn’t think i’d like it this much!!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ll be honest i didn’t think this controller would be that great, mostly thought it was gonna be one of those ‘novelty’ controller. But this controller was absolutly amazing, like the controller feels great and imo prob the best controller you can buy for this price for xbox/PC use. The rubber around the whole controller make it feel high quality af, also the design is top notch doesn’t feel like a painted $50 typical xbox controller. Please if you’re going to buy this it’s worth it 10/10

Changes aren’t a revelation, but satisfying.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.XBOX controller 2020 version. I changed my mouse to a G502 to get a sniper button. It was like the G900 I also use so easy to make the change. Now I looked at my XBOX controller. Is the newer version better? What can you say about a controller that seems so unchanged? Plenty more than I thought. The size is inconsequentially smaller. You’ll forget it ten minutes into a game as the usefulness takes over. What could be more useful on this thing? The four-position rocker is now a CIRCULAR affair verses a STAR shaped affair. That’s not really the big deal. What is, is the FEEL of the rocker is now much, much more precise and give great tactile feedback in long game sessions. Play RDR2? Ya, you know what I mean when you use this feature over and over. The shoulder switches also are improved inside. The FEEL is again way better, with a positive CLICK. This isn’t as pronounces as the 4-way toggle, but it is still better. The controller has much better texture on the surface for better GRIP in gaming. This seems superfluous but it isn’t if you play more than an hour. It really helps in fighting games like Devil May Cry series or the Shadow of Mordor series where stuff is quick and tactical feel is important. The trigger’s are a different but inconsequential shape change and more same, same. No real detriment that they stayed near the same. Feel and precision isn’t different to me in use. That’s good as it was OK before. The added screen picture button is place below the other two standard buttons, so if it is of use great. If not, no harm no foul. The new button isn’t in the way but it is easy to get to if you use the screen capture feature. The finish is now a matte color in black verses a more shiny surface. Just different. Joy sticks seem identical with the anemic center press “click” being the worst tactile feel of all switches but...you get used to it. So that's it. More than I expected and they did make it better without messing something up that was working. That’s not actually hard to do, break what seemed OK before. They took a risk and it worked. The changes aren’t a revelation, but they are satisfying.

Pretty good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Connectivity is fast and easy, whether you’re using it on an Xbox console or pairing it with a PC or mobile device. The wireless performance is strong, and input lag is practically nonexistent. That said, there are a couple of small downsides — the controller still uses AA batteries instead of a built-in rechargeable battery, which can get annoying if you play often. Also, the D-pad could be a bit quieter and more precise for fighting games or retro titles.

Improvement, but not ground breaking.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the slightly reworked Series controller. I recently purchased the XBO, blue controller from last gen..And this gen's XSX-S blue controller, and I really like the darker tones blue with a splash of white on the bottom side. Once you pick the new controller up, you'll instantly notice the grip on the triggers, bumpers, and handles....The D pad is re-worked, and an added share button. When holding both last and this gen's controllers at the same time..I noticed the build quality was better on the new one...more so towards the Elite controller...It felt less cheap like the old one. I 've always like the Xbox controller because it fit my big hands...The new controller isn't ground breaking at all, just a little nip there and a tuck there...

Improving on an already Good Design
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Since, the Xbox 360 days, Xbox controllers have been the gold standard in my view of controller design. The Series X controller is an evolution rather than a revolution, adding texture to key grip points and improving the dpad. It also adds a share button for the sharing functionality on the console. Overall, I have no complaints, and using the Series X controller with my old Microsoft USB adapter on my PC worked without a hitch. Definite recommend for anyone who wants to refresh their peripheral.

Nice Controller
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s a good remote. Plain and simply just don’t drop your Xbox controllers too many times eventually they’ll get bad stick drift. The colors cool and it’s well it’s a controller.

New Controller (Same as the Old Controller)
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I used an Xbox One controller for light PC gaming the past number of years, and figured I'd upgrade to a Series S/X controller upon seeing it on sale. Figured I'd relegate the One controller to "guest" duty the rare times I may have a guest over for a gaming session. In terms of ergonomics, the Series controller feels real similar to the One before it, which is to say: it's a comfy piece of plastic. The textured grip & triggers of the Series controller make it even more comfortable. Also nice to see USB C for charging, though for a 2020s-era piece of tech, I reckon most people would expect it to be there. It paired about as easy with my PC as I could hope for, nothing dramatic to report on that front. One unfortunate thing with this controller that's been carried over from the One: Why, in the year 2024, is the rechargable battery a separate purchase? Why, this far into the 2020s, do we need batteries like gamers did when they had GameBoys in the 1990s/early 2000s? Sony's had rechargeable batteries in their PlayStation controllers since the PS3 days, Nintendo moved away from batteries in controllers after the Wii, it's baffling to me that Microsoft keeps opting for an antiquated charging scheme when the Switch Pro controller & DualSense today cost pretty darn close to what the Xbox Series controller costs without a separate charging kit (at their respective MSRP prices). But I digress, this controller is still a solid one for PC gaming. If you can find this on sale & don't mind having to either shell out a bit more for batteries or a proper charging kit, you can do a lot worse than this. If you find an older One controller for significantly cheaper, I low-key doubt you'd miss the textured grip & triggers that overly much. Overall, I'd grade this a 3.5/5 mostly out of spite for the battery situation, though I'll spite my spite & round the score up to a 4/5 for today.

GREAT REPLACEMENT
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The green Xbox controller is a standout in both design and functionality. Its vibrant green hue is visually striking, offering a fresh take on the classic Xbox controller aesthetic. The matte finish gives it a premium feel, reducing fingerprints and providing a comfortable grip for long gaming sessions. The ergonomic design remains a hallmark of Xbox controllers, with textured grips and responsive thumbsticks that make it easy to maneuver in-game. The buttons feel tactile and responsive, with the added benefit of the controller's seamless connectivity—whether wired or via Bluetooth. It works flawlessly with both Xbox consoles and PC, offering versatility for a variety of gaming setups. The D-pad is precise, and the triggers and bumpers maintain a satisfying click.
