It pairs automatically and you don’t have to worry about button mapping. I use this controller to play steam games and this will be an second controller when I get my Series X

I enjoy how the controller never feels like it will drop out of my hands. Would recommend for anyone who loves Xbox.

If you ever owned a xbox controller before this should feel right at home. USB C is a great bonus. Only problem I had was playing on PC with some older games - the control mapping seems to be messed up - B is mapped to A and X is mapped to Y and etc. Very annoying, otherwise a great buy.
