This New Style is Uncomfortable to Hold

A first glance I was excited about the controller. The textured handgrips seemed to be a plus. Crisp, responsive buttons and joysticks. After about 45 minutes of game time I realized my hands were sore. I grabbed an old 2016 model and it felt instantly more comfortable. At that moment I started to pay more attention to what was happening: my hand was slowly slipping with the new controller because it's slightly smaller. Your hands are always compensating and begin to get fatigued. Really dissappointed...this is my 3rd Xbox controller, 2 wore out prematurely and this new style is terribly uncomfortable. It's as though they made this controller for kids hands only.

I was thinking of fixing it but ended-up just buying a new one last month.

Could not recommend more

I personally do not care for the rough underside of the grips as they wear on the inside of my pinky fingers with extended use. Which lets face it is pretty much the type of use we all put on our controllers. I wish there was an option with smooth underside of the grips.
