I didn't realize it did not come with a wire but he has plenty of them so that wasn't a big deal. Also its wireless which was the most important thing because he tends to get caught up in whatever game he is playing and moves around a lot. Also great that his little brother can't yank on any wires. No complaints yet from him.

It’s really unfortunate Microsoft hasn’t made a controller without AA batteries or battery pack. Nintendo Switch controllers even has rechargeable internal battery.
