Controller still works if plugged in via a USB-C cable (not provided). Left joystick also feels like it has a larger dead zone or poorer acceleration than the previous generation controller, though that may just be me. Probably will replace with a cheaper 3rd party controller since the reliability will be the same

We're sorry that there's an issue using your new Xbox wireless controller with Windows 10 PC through Bluetooth. If you are still experiencing this issue please ensure you have the latest service update for Windows. You can find available Windows updates by going to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > Check for Updates on your Windows 10 PC. In some cases, there may be a button that says “View optional updates”, and you may be required to click there to find the update.
Once that is complete you will also need to make sure the controller firmware is up to date by checking for additional updates within the Xbox Accessories app. If you continue to experience a problem, please check with our team at Xbox Support for assistance here: https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/hardware-network/controller/wireless-controller-solution
