Controller randomly stopped working for no reason

I bought this controller last May and today it randomly just died for no reason. It will still turn my xbox on but after the Xbox button in the middle lights up for a moment it turns off and the controller stops working. For the price, it should last more than a year and a half of moderate gaming and very few, if any, drops.

Works but does wrong
