Microsoft won't repair it because it's out of warranty but they offered a 'great' solution... "why not buy another one?" If you buy one - make sure you Get an extended warranty!

On one game the button layout is all mixed up and in another game it loses bluetooth connection about every 5 seconds. so until xbox and windows get on the same page I woul recommend getting a gen one or just an older controler.

If you are still experiencing this issue please ensure you have the latest service update for Windows. Don't buy the red one

I replaced it with the same remote. It malfunctioned in March. Weird thing is, it is only the red remote that is a problem. I have never had problems with this remote in other colors.

But is required for certain games on PC/Laptop especially if you have the Xbox game pass. Will disconnect randomly during gaming and pair a moment later without needing to go into settings. Ultimately I prefer the new PS5 controller, much more advance in my opinion.
