Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Microsoft's commitment to forward and backwards compatibility even with hardware is refreshing. The recharge and play kit from the older Xbox One controllers WORK with this new controller! Kudos to Microsoft for not forcing me to buy another battery pack for this new controller. Out of the box this controller feels similar to the Xbox One (my preferred controller) but just ever so slightly better. The biggest changes are the dpad of course that offers a really deep concave shape that is just great to use, cardinal directions feel excellent. The face buttons feel just a hair larger and a hair shallower for what seems to be to be faster travel on them. But my favorite new upgrade are the more prominent shoulder buttons. Playing AC: Valhalla is excellent on this controller especially since that game uses the shoulder buttons for combat extensively. Overall a great controller. I'm using it on PC for now but will use it on my Xbox One X as well.
