Decent, But Quality Has Dropped Over the Years

Xbox series x controller review
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought the controller a few days ago used it for a couple hours and I have to say its uncomfortable. When using the controller it feels like sandpaper rubbing against your hands. The grip on the triggers and bumpers is unnecessary and uncomfortable. The D pad is bad when trying to use it quickly as it sometimes causes you to miss. The buttons dont bounce back instantly and the controller feels like it has more input delay while Microsoft claims it does not. Its well built too well built too stiff last gen was perfect shouldve just made a smaller controller for smaller hands to adjust. Will feel uncomfortable if hands slightly larger

Squishy buttons

The buttons are EXTREMELY squishy, and I am constantly finding myself double tapping (or failing to double tap when I'm trying to) the button. This results in constant incidental flips in Rocket League, and double downshifts and upshifts in my racing games. I find myself storing this controller away to play on my worn-out Xbox One controller. Not sure if my controller is just poorly made, but I'm not going to spend a dime to find out. I'm going to try the PS5 controller now to see if it's a suitable replacement for my aging Xbox One controller.

Battery Life is Horrendous

Battery life is horrendous. You will have to replace your batteries every other day. Very, very disappointed in this controller.

The only bad thing about the new Xbox controllers is that they will randomly disconnect while playing a game then you have to restart the Xbox to get the controller to work again.
