i know nothing about xbox controllers or console names! i thought this was a new controller for his current gen system but it turns out its not only for next gen but backwards compatible. thank god! only only downside was we also bought his a faceplate and gun shell buttons to customize this with but microsoft does not make for a friendly rehashing of their hardware, also not a bad thing when you really think about it.

I have this connected to my Steam Deck and it works well. Every once in a while a couple of the controls won't respond and I'll have to restart the whole system again. But that's seldom, just something to be aware of that can happen.

We are an Xbox family. So, when my daughter saw this pink Xbox controller, it was immediately added to her bday list. Best Buy has a beautiful selection of Xbox accessories. The price is perfect.

Sure it's a basic series X controller, but the color on this controller is phenomenal! The gradient change in the light is really cool when it's just sitting off to the side. Makes a nice little piece of color pop.

The buttons feel better. The controller is slightly smaller than the previous gen which I am neutral on since my hands aren't huge. Rumble seems improved to me. I can feel the rumble change direction with context of situation in Shadow of the Tomb Raider. I had some disconnection issue with my laptop, but I think that's a software issue as it doesn't do that with my desktop. The windows dongle was used in both cases.

Work great easy to setup. It should come with chargeable batteries. I recommend this controller for your xbox console.
