After using it, it would turn off while playing Fortnite. Returned it as we think it was doing that due to it being for Xbox One (latest model) and we don’t have the latest model. It worked fine with other older games so I don’t think there was anything wrong with it, it just didn’t work for the updated games.

I've been using a ps4 controller with a emulator but the controller is dying so I figured I'd get xbox controller and not use a emulator. I haven't used a xbox controller for over 10 years. I hook it up and install updates with the xbox app like it says in the instructions. Started playing my games and it randomly disconnects. I look it up online and others have the same problem for over a month. I manually update my whole system to newest drivers and everything like some ppl suggested and I still got random disconnects. For a company to have a controller designed to work on pc as well to not function properly for over a month is ridiculous. I returned and exchanged it for a ps5 controller and have not had a single problem with it so far. I'll stick with Sony.

My teenage son destroyed the original controller that came with his xbox, so got this as a replacement. Not thrilled with having had to replace it in less than a year, but I'm sure my son's likely rough handling of it contributed to the wear n' tear. Been fine ever since.
