Grippier surface on the backside and triggers, and the D-pad update is really nice. Only quirk is that this gen is lot noisier than the last, esp the D-pad is extremely clicky. Not a con for me, but just expect it to be a fairly noisy controller when playing.

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use third party wired controller for my xbox until recently I decided to upgrade to wireless or the cable is not long enough for my new couch location :) The controller is light weight & buttons are really good. The triggers are excellent & the response time of the wireless protocol is realtime as well. However there are two drawbacks (and hence providing only 4 starts) - You need to use AA battery (no rechargeable battery inside) - The wireless does loose connections often for 1-2secs.

The only problem, which is entirely on me, is that I keep hitting the capture button accidentally and getting screenshots of boring not worth recording images.

Happened while playing a bunch of times. Very irritating. Also, the head phone jack didn't work in wireless mode. You need to connect the controller to the system through USB cable and only then the headphone jack works. Else the controller deserve at least 4 starts! Feel is awesome. Better but reachable batteries!
