I don’t mind the attractiveness of the color of this controller nor the fact that it is something I think compliments what I’ve got. I’m unhappy that they wouldn’t price match Microsoft themselves. . As far as the possible “$400 gift card reward”, I definitely think they should compensate people for taking the time to honestly share their thoughts

No out of warranty repair options with Microsoft

I was looking for a controller for PC and since Xbox controllers are supposed to work flawlessly with it, I ended up with this. I’ve only used it occasionally since I ended up not being able to play much with my toddler around, so it ended up collecting dust. Cue last week where I got myself a gaming laptop. Got this out from the shelf and used it to play about 2 hours a day, and I slowly noticed the buttons gradually double pressing, tilting the joystick forward has some kind of lag. It’s been a year so I’m definitely SOL with warranty but I was hoping some kind of paid repair. Microsoft said nope, no repairs on out of warranty stuff. I looked into it further, turns out these controllers only have a 90 day warranty vs Sony’s 1 year. Looking back to my old controllers, it ends up getting drift or jankiness down the road. Would I recommend this? Well, I guess it’s a cheap controller especially if you get it on sale. But I feel like it’s a ripoff that they can’t even guarantee the device for at least a year. And no repair/replacement options (even paid) once you’re out of warranty. People give a ton of criticism with Apple about repair, but they give you the option to replace a damaged device (although expensive) as long as they don’t consider it obsolete.

Terribly unsatisfied with these Xbox Controllers

Im terribly unsatisfied with these Xbox Contollers I’ve just gone through 2 of these I would say the origanal contoller that came with my Xbox held up for about 4 years but started to show issues with the buttons I decided to start using this blue one. I had the blue one for about almost 3 years and not used much but when I decided to start using it again it was giving me issues with both of the Thumbsticks when being held down it wouldnt fully register an imput for a long period of time it would think im letting go of the button while being held down before the second click I decided to go to my local BestBuy and get an exchange for it they didnt have it in the store so I waited a couple of days for it to arrive which was fine since i still had my original one and as soon as I took it out of the box I started running into the same exact issue with the Thumbstick all though it was slightly better since this time it was just one Thumbstick on the right so im most likely going to have to go back to the store and return this one for an exchange for a second time i just dont understand why I continue running into the same kind of problem I feel like Microsoft is making them cheap plastic and there faulty. These Xbox Controllers seem to have a horrible design flaw in them. I have had an Xbox 360 for several years and an Xbox One S before the series X/S and never encountered something like this with any of my contollers i feel like ever since the Series X/S consoles got released Microsoft has gotten extremely lazy and turning these Controllers into garbage thats faulty. This is extremely frustrating Im a heavy gamer and play for hours and I feel like I cant just sit down and enjoy playing my games due to these cheap contollers. I feel like Microsft should be held accountable for this or something this is absolutely unacceptable like something should be done about this.

When you can get these on sale it’s worth it, but full price is fool price because the quality of them isn’t very good.

The controller didn’t look used, but the box it came in was ripped open. So I’m not sure how to properly rate it. It would be a 5 because of the controller being new, but with the box being ripped open I’m rating it a 2.

Gets the job done, looks cool, but developed a stick drift issue very quickly - within maybe a few months and I’m really not a heavy gamer. I used to game way more and honestly never had much of an issue with a controller like this, if ever. Almost impossible to do things such as navigating a menu with a cursor, have a character stand still etc. currently my backup controller.

The controller itself is great! Good quality! But, my word. The thing will NOT stay bluetooth connected to my PC! Specifically purchased bluetooth, so there are no wires. So, now it's connected with wires so that I don't lose my mind while playing my games. I recommend it for its great design, but if you're wanting to use it on PC and hope for a seamless bluetooth connection, this is not it. It would also be worth the price if it worked as intended. So, I give it a fair rating because it works perfectly connected via a wire.

Noticeable lag on MLB Show pitching meter.

Controler feels cheaper than normal and has a bit of lag in it. Of course Im a little biased from usning my more exspensive wired contriler. That being said, I have never noticed a delay in any of my other wireless controlers. I notice most when playing MLB the Show where timing on the pitching meter and swinging the bat is exremely important. IE; Meter continues to move after pressing button and swings are late. Buttons also feel really cheap, texture is ok, and I just dont care for the overall feel of it. I paid 44 dollars and color is nice, but i dont plan on using this controler for any competitive, timing based games.

Stopped working out of the blue.

Worked perfectly until today when it would sync with the Xbox but not do anything when I pressed buttons, moved joysticks etc. Tried giving it a little shake to see if anything had come undone on the inside but nothing sounded off it just won't work. Checked other controllers with the Xbox and they work fine so it was ruled as being the problem. Bought this September 22nd and it's Jan 5th, barely 3 months working. I keep everything I own in clean and in so I dont understand why this happened.

I purchased this controller Jun 17, 2021, and in those 8 months, it's gotten drift issues with the right analog stick. Not looking forward to dealing with support to try to get it fixed. I'm disappointed that only after moderate use (less than maybe 10 hours of gaming per week) and proper storage, there are issues.

Open Box Purchase Not Worth It

I ordered an open box item that was noted to be in excellent condition. Arrived with what I assume is paint on it and and some visible scratches, not really sure how that equates to “excellent” condition and am scared to see what Best Buy considers “good” or “acceptable. In addition, it was shipped in just a bubble wrap envelope, so who knows how much it got beat up during the shipping process. If you want a controller buy a new one I guess.

The analog stickswill turn to a different color after use. Only had them for a few days before they became discolored and looks worn out. Tried cleaning but no luck. Will only buy xbox controllers with black analog sticks for now on.

    The dreaded stick drift

It’s astonishing to me how xbox can manufacture good looking controllers but then continuously drop the ball when it comes to quality. Over and over again these controllers eventually start to suffer from stick drift even when you’re casually gaming. The same goes for these limited time controllers. As expensive as they are, you’re still only paying for looks, you arent getting a solid controller for that price. If you want quality over style, best to avoid xbox brand controllers. Go for third party, more specifically, look for ones that have hall effect sticks. Those you wont have to worry about.

Product was defective, trying to return

The right joystick was drifting upon receipt. The defect would have easily been diagnosed with simple tools at the warehouse. I tried to return it in store, but they refused to refund the order since the serial number on the controller did not match that of the box. I called bestbuy support and they said that I should just return it via shipping to them and they will take care of it. Overall, if the refund goes through, this will be an unfortunate but good experience. But I will think twice before purchasing another used item from Bestbuy.

These new xbox controllers have a great d-pad but they malfunction very easily, if you drop it once you might as well buy a new one. The buttons stick alot and the left stick has often had dead zones.
