It was to replace a controller with a faulty plug, plus he wanted a longer cord. He was very happy to receive this controller as a gift and is eager to use it.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This XBox Series X controller is a huge improvement from the previous generation controller, the D-Pad is much better for games that use it and the durability of the shoulder buttons have held up much better than my previous XBox One controller. Quality of the controller reminds me of the XBox 360, haven't experienced any creaking plastic or squeaks from the shoulder buttons.

The new d-pad is a big step-up though and as always, the XBox style of controller feels great in my hands. Only worry is there are questions regarding quality control but so far so good on my end.
