Fun hack and slash for fans of lord of the rings or not.

great way to keep the lore of mordor alive. rich gameplay

After seeing a lot of the reviews for this game I was really excited to get home and play it. So far it has really stood up well. The combat is very similar to the recent Arkham games: and that's good in my opinion. Probably the best thing about this game though is that it works in both long play sessions and short play sessions. Along those same lines, you can have a ton of fun just running around killing orcs outside of the story and you feel like you are making progress and you feel powerful. Unlike a lot of recent open world games, I found that Mordor's story doesn't suffer from you deciding to do side quests: there's no mission that ends of a cliffhanger and it always makes sense for you to be running around randomly killing and marking orcs.

The graphics are amazing. The storyline is fun as well.

Very well put together game that has a very good flow to it. Great value for the price.

Shadows of mordor is a great game. Good gameplay and interesting story. Lots of verity in objectives and missions. The personal stories and names of different enemies give it a unique feel and excellent replay value.

First off, this was my first PS4 game purchase, picked up with the system and a copy of Destiny. Secondly, the last console system I had owned was an Xbox (the original, big, black, and green logo on the top) so we're talking about a review from someone that was (and still is) a bit out of touch with the "hardcore" console gamers. There was a rather long wait to play this game for me, nearly a day of "updates" necessary to properly play. I did try it with out the updates in place and was regretting it as the graphics made me worried I had wasted my money on a PS4. I shifted to standby and decided to wait for the updates, and it was indeed worth the wait. Shadows or Mordor is a side story in set in Tolkien's Middle Earth, and I've not finished it but so far it's been fun. Getting the hang of the controls at first felt a bit clunky but soon began making sense. I do still find myself shooting off random arrows by accident when trying to do something else, but I blame myself and not the game for that. The game it self has a wonderful in game tutorial system as you play (and is still reminding me when I apparently forget what I am doing.)

Fantastic Nemesis system, makes for a very fun journey!

Lord of the Rings + Assassin's Creed hybrid. Awesome!

A sleeper hit from the Land of Mordor. It's Assassin's Creed meets Lord of the Rings.

Very great game, I'll give it a 9.2/10. Complete game with all the active and story.

Good Story line, Fun missions, and a variety of quest

Fun story line in middle earth between the hobbit and lord of the rings. Takes aspects of the Batman Arkham games fighting style, Assassin's Creed open world and Lord of the Rings lore and makes a very fun game.

This game is just plain fun. The Nemesis system is a blast and very interesting. Movement is very similar to the Assassins Creed games(go figure lol) Looks great and was just a very fun experience to just play.

For fans of Assassin's Creed, but honestly Shadow Of Mordor blows AC out of the water. Really intense gameplay, tons of action, great story and a great addition to the LOTR franchise. Never seems to get old.

This is a fun action packed game...worth the wait!
