I GOT HOOKED VERY FAST ON THIS GAME AND IT HAS HOURS AND HOURS OF FUN

Good intuitive game not a fan of the lord of the rings movies and games but still liked this the controls are a lot like the Batman Arkham games and Assassins Creed games which is what I would describe this game as Lord of the Arkham Creed

Bought this for my brother for Christmas. He lives Lord of the rings.

If you liked the Batman games and like fantasy/LOTR lore, defintiely pick this up. Smooth and satisfying combat, an interesting story, and unique enemy system helps this game stand out.

Great game with a good story that allows for a very in depth game playing experience. A very story driven game that allows you to explore a large world. The AI interactions are amazing.

I went into this game not expecting much but man was I pleased. Over all I would say I am a little LOTR fan but not crazy. I didn't know how I would feel about this game since it's not directly about one of the books. But I can't say enough of how fun it was to play. I couldn't put it down.

This game has everything I would want in a LOTR game! No its not cannon but it plays so well with the assassin's creed style of play. And the nemesis system is something new and fresh!

I was very pleasantly surprised by this! The gameplay feels seamless and fun, the fighting is both simple and requires fast reflexes when you get yourself into ridiculous situations (as I often do--fun experience, let someone raise an alarm in a stronghold and just jump into the fight!). The stroy so far is a little less filled out, so if you don't already know the universe, you may not get AS MUCH enjoyment from it (though the gameplay is still totally worth it). Also, the enemy power system is super interesting and cool, the enemies (Uruk mostly), will rise in power and fall without you with the passage of time. Overall a plus, highly recommend!

Shadows of Mordor is one the the best games I've played in quite sometime if you like Assassins Creed and the Batman Arkham games then you will notice it plays just like those games.

Take a bit of getting used to, but once you do it is great fun.

only played it a couple times so i cant give a 5 star rating. but this game has the fighting mechanics of batman arkham city fused with asassins creed. a bit confusing at first but still a good game. only downfall is anytime you get killed by an enemy, they become stronger each time. so make sure you level up before trying to go on a rampage lol!!

Incredibly challenging, and the storyline is quite intriguing!

Decent story. Excellent fighting mechanics. The nemesis system was very nice. I've yet to finish the game but I'm loving it so far. It gets a solid 4/5 stars from me. There's no online play so I'd recommend getting it on sale.

This game's nemesis system is the first of its kind and is the most groundbreaking aspect in any open world game. Take the combat and mechanics of the Batman Arkham series and apply it to LOTR lore and this game is a knockout.
