Great game. The story was engaging and combat made the controller hard to put down. Get this game if you have a PS4 or Xbox One

The nemesis system is by far the coolest thing about this game. Having enemies move up the ranks and make you feel like your actions are actually affecting the story of the game is something I've always wanted to see. It appears that thanks to the new console hardware we can finally have this kind of dynamic gameplay. The combat feels just as good as the Batman games and the graphics are gorgeous. It's just a game that feels really good to play and keeps you coming back. I can't recommend it enough!

Great combat, solid controls, set in a great environment. The game doesn't look spectacular but is one of the funnest of 2014.

This game has amazing graphics with stellar gameplay and a great storyline to go along with it. Be prepared to want to play it all the way to the end without stopping.

I am not an avid gamer but this game has story, graphics, and intense playability. Cannot say enough good things about this.

A bit like assassians creed but better combat that becomes to easy midway thru out the game. Worth a play thru and a trade in for something with more lasting power.

The story was really good and the fighting scenes too, felt like playing Assisins creed a little but I like that game too

The story is very good and so is the gameplay. Love the kills and roaming the map. Map is not very big but lots to do.

If you love the lore of Lord of the rings and the gameplay of batman series . Then this game is for you. The story telling is good but not great. Most of the missions are repetitive but the combat system and unique bosses makes it enjoying. The environment is also one of the major points in this game by simulating its own ecosystem. Once a mini boss is taken down , another comes to power. I recommend this game for anyone who enjoyed Lord of the rings or the batman game series.

Interesting story set in Middle Earth with Batman-like combat and Assassin's Creed feel. Highly recommend this game.

Was a bit hesitant to get it but since it was LOTR I thought I'd give it a shot. Pretty fun game, it's open world, lots of good fighting and surprises.

This is not only a great game due to its actual game play but due to its story as well! Must buy if fan of LOTR

This is the first game I got for the PS4. It does not disappoint. There are a lot of side missions and the main mission is very engaging. The main character really captures the meaning of cool.

walk into Mordo. You run, stealth, slice, ride worg mounts and murder orcs galore in this game. The combat is fast and fluid. This game has a "Assassin's Creed" feel to it with climbing and movement but the combat is really where it shines.

Ok, so it's not entirely based on the movies, but this game in the Lord of the Rings realm is the exception rather than the rule when it comes to movie-based games. Where they usually flop, this game exceeds expectations. When playing through the game, you not only feel like you're a part of Middle Earth, but that Middle Earth is yours to shape. I would definitely recommend if you're an LOTR fan- this is right up there with the Batman Arkham franchise.

After playing LOTS of Destiny I had to slow down and find the rhythm of this game. Stealth is your friend, especially when first starting. The Nemesis system is what really draws you into the game. When you are killed by an Orc or Goblin they get promoted in the ranks. They remember you and when you encounter them again it's clear that they remember you. It really makes you want to do battle with them and win. The dialog and voice acting is excellent. Since I have only played about 5 hours I can't give it 5 stars but I give it a worthy 4 stars Plus!

Shadow of Mordor is a solid action adventure game set in the world of Mordor. The combat system is taken directly from the Batman Arkham games with additional tools to match the world of LOTR. The most noteworthy element of Shadow of Mordor is the Nemesis system which allows you to create your own rivals and create a combat narrative that is unique to your playthrough. It is a unique feature in an otherwise safe game. The game is short with a lackluster climax but the moment to moment Orc slaying is fun and the world of LOTR is presented well.

This one is a cool mix of the newer Batman games, Assassin's Creed, and GTA. The combat is straight out of the Batman games and it is fun, but I'm not a fan of dying and having the game get harder intentionally. That just seems cheap.

This is a solid game but lacks end game content. Has an assassins creed type gameplay. End game got easy

I knew absolutely nothing about this game until I came across a review 1 day before the release date, which they gave it a very good rating. I then decided to give it try & boy am I glad I did. A sleeper hit to say the least. I would describe the gameplay as a cross between Batman & assassins creed but it's set in the world of Moridor (lord of the rings). Open world, nice graphics, functional mechanics & gameplay is challenging. Very surprised!.
