Plays like batman graphics great story good well its lord of the rings and control good

The graphics on this ps4 game were excellent. I am always amazed at how life like the images are. Great story line as well.

Lord of the Rings based games have been so-so overall since it blew up with the movies, but if you have to play only one, this is the one! Especially if you're a fan of the Batman games, which it borrows a lot from. That said, it is not a LOTR reskin of Batman and comes with some truly amazing innovations that are sure to have a massive influence over the gaming landscape for the upcoming years.

Good game so far. Graphics are very good. Gameplay is exciting. The story is strong.

A huge open world where you can choose from a large number of character classes, each providing different bonuses/strengths/weaknesses. Choose between magic, archery, melee, or a number of other options.

So much fun! Played with my wife and she loved all the movie parts. Played for hours! I really enjoyed the part with the war Chiefs. Especially the one named douche!! Lol I really loved when they were all chanting his name!! "Douche" "douche" "douche" ok now I'm just writing to write because in order to get my bonus points I need to write more about this game and honestly I didn't even play it.

I had a good time playing through this game. It can get repetitive at times, but the story and combat system are great.

Since I have gotten the game I haven't had any time to play it. The couple times I have played it I had a blast. The environment and fighting was awesome. Definitely love being part of the LOTR's world.

Licensed games are always such a risk, but with this game, the risk actually pays off. If you're hesitant to try it, wait no longer. This game is tons of fun!

I have the PS4 version as well and while it's not quite as graphically detailed, it's still very enjoyable. Regardless of the console, I think this will appeal to any LOTR fan who also likes to game.

This is a great game but it starts slow. Slow isn't really the best word; it's really more just repetitious. It's really once you get 1/3 of the way through or so...maybe 10 or 12 hours or more...that it really gets great. It's then that the politics really kick in, playing the orcs against each other. It takes that long for the connections to start to matter, and even just to understand the intricacies. So, is it worth it to you? That depends on your patience level.

I'm having fun with the game so far. it can get repetitive specially when you start fighting a boss, but the game is very fun and it can get addicting

This game is mildly challenging, but super fun once you get the hang of it. Enemies you've battled before will remember you when you face them again.

Great game and story, Tolkien fan or not. Great title for the play station 4.

This game wasn't even on my radar until early reviews started pouring in, positive enough that I pre-ordered the day before release, and now? Quite possibly my 2014 GOTY. Who'd have guessed?!? Batman combat system + LOTR lore + genius hierarchical system of bad guy advancement and rivalries (available only in the PS3 version, mind you) + insanely detailed graphics = must own.

I'm a lifelong fan of the tolkien universe and gaming alike. I was scpetical at first but ended up loving the game. Too violent for younger players.

Good game, especially if you get a deal on it, but a little less replayable/long-lasting than I would like. Good for playing without the world of other players like on some other games, though.
