Not a huge fan of Lord of the Rings but this game remains fun. Combat is very similar to the Arkham games albeit with a lot more violence. Exploration is a bit like Assassins creed in that you can freely scale a lot of areas and need to find towers to access areas of the map. There are some cool features such as the way that enemy officers gain ranks and power with each win. You can help some rise to power only to defeat them later and receive that power. Definitely worth a play through if you enjoy action games

Shadows of Mordor is a very good STARTING point for a new successful franchise. The game has BEAUTIFUL graphics for the cutscenes and there's plenty of content to keep gamers busy. The story is sort of broken and it doesn't really feel as awesome as it could. My hope is it develops into something bigger like Assassin's Creed, referencing cause it almost feels exactly like an Assassin's Creed game, but I would like more war elements as opposed to minor skirmishes all over the place.

I got this game because I really enjoyed the LOTR movies and I had heard great things about this game. I played roughly four hours worth of the game and enjoyed what I was playing for the most part but personally I didn't feel overly compelled to come back to the game. I never did finish it as other games that came out around the same time were more appealing to me. If you like Skyrim and the Arkham games you would like this game.

While the game borrow from, Batman and Assassins Creed its innovation comes from its Nemesis system. I like a game that requires some thought and this game had me thinking on how I would take down some of the orcs instead of just rushing in which will more than likely lead to failure. This is one of my fave games of the year and I think everyone should give it a try.

All the early hype about this game likened it to Assassin's Creed, but I found the combat to be nearly identical to Batman. This has a much more mature feeling than the recent Hobbit movies and even the original Lord of the Rings trilogy. Unfortunately there's not much reason to replay it and tasks get repetitive/boring before you even reach the end. Go for the trophies and ditch it right after.

I have spent many hours playing this game it is by far one of my favorite games i highly recommend playing it

I really didn't expect this game to be SO GOOD. it take some elements from other games like AC and Batman and presents them in such an amazing and addictive manner. Excellent graphics. the story is alright, not the strongest point in the game.

Enter Tolkeins world again but this time as a ranger torn between the living and the shadow. Stalk orc camps in search of artifacts, intel on your enemies, missions, all of which help you level up gain new abilities and runes for your weapons. There is a lot to do in the game and expect a good challenge.

One of the top 3 games on ps4 by far. I love this game, it is very fluid and has tons of replay value.

really great game. battle system like batman arkham games. explorations like assassins creed games, but not as boring. only bad thing is the replay value and length of the game (might have more play value with dlc).

It has been a long time since Mordor was in a game. Over the years the Assassin's Creed style of game play has gotten kinda stale. Shadow of Mordor brings the Assassin style and throws in Arkham City to make a fun game. This is one of the top three games of this year

When I first heard of this game I was excited. I love the Lord of the Rings. Then I saw the trailer and I was more excited. Then I started playing and I was blown away! This game is amazing. It adapts to your gameplay and it never gets old. Great great buy.

I picked this game up after reading the positive reviews it received. I was really impressed with the game however I felt that the game seemed a little short for me. The combat is great and I would highly recommend scooping this game up if you liked games suck as batman Arkham city or assassins creed type games.

Bought this for our son who really enjoys playing it. He's quite a gamer and plays many different types of games. Lots of research goes in to whether or not he'll buy a particular game and this one made the cut. I would say it's not for young kids.
