My wife hates video games but when she saw the intro part of this game she could not stop watching. She now plays this more than I do. If you love lord of the rings this I a must buy. The combat system is similar to the arkham series, which I love. The story is great and it is the kind of game that just gets better the more you play it. There is so much content and more on its way through dlc. You won't regret this buy.

I have enjoyed this game since it's release. It's control are good and combat is fluid. The story is done well and just a fun game.

I just loved it. To me and many people this is the game of the year. Especially if you love the lord of the rings and the hobbit movies. Its great. Great story and Gameplay

The game gives a different experience in fighting the enemies. If the enemy survive he would become stronger and memorize you next time. The combat is also very fantastic.

Game looks great and is very smooth. The only thing it lacks is some form of co-op so you can pay online with a friend. Because there is no option for this I find myself going back to games like Destiny and Call of Duty

The game can be repetitive, but the controls are top notch and if you take the time to do all the side quests you will have a lengthy gaming experience. If you like games in this genre you will not be disappointed!!!

So this game plays just like assassins creed... which is awesome... cause assassin's creed is awesome... story line is pretty good... I've only gotten about 10% through the game (welcome to having a wide and kids)... the rune system for the weapons is not a bad addition... definitely the biggest things to this game is the bring able to swap between ranger and wraith and then the nemesis system adds a pretty cool idea for the next gen of games... definitely recommend this game even if your not a fan LotR

The gameplay is amazing and a new take on action games. If you love lord of the rings and the action gameplay of the batman arkham series, then you will love this game.

Of your a big fan of the LOTR books/movies, then this game will suit you. Great gameplay, graphics, not a thing to mark down on this game. Must have in your collection!

Just as the title suggests, you slay orcs, cut their heads off, and watch them roll. Lost of fun, although gameplay can get repetitive, but new skills keep it fresh.

Shadows of Mordor for PS4 has a great story line, intuitive controls, and superb graphics.

Shadows of Mordor is an incredible game. I didn't think I'd enjoy it as much as I do. If you like action games, or the Lord of The Rings... this game is for you!

I purchased this game after having only seen a couple of gameplay videos, but I had immediately fallen in love. I picked up this game from Best Buy, and my first thought was on how beautiful the detail of the game was. I continued playing, and the story started surfacing more and more. I immediately fell in love. This game is everything you would expect an open-world Middle-Earth game to be. No regrets!

I have to say that the game is extremely fun if a little difficult when you begin. My only complaint is that i get extra minibuses added to my fights way to often.

It reminds me a lot of Assassin's Creed mixed with Batman Arkham stuff. Smooth gameplay, good ol' Tolkien lore--just all around fun. Plays very nicely on the PS4.

There's a reason why it won GOTY... If you're into the whole LOTR series, you won't be disappointed. If you're not into LOTR, you won't be disappointed either.

The game is fun, but if you've played Assassin's Creed and the Arkham games.. then you've played this all before. The devs have recently said if you've played Assassin's Creed, then play this game.. the comparison ends the moment you play Mordor. Well honestly, they were dead wrong. There is a reason I've been calling this Arkham Creed, and that's due to the fact the game fuses everything in AC with Arkham's free flowing combat. To survey the area you even have to climb ghost towers, and then dive off them to open up entirely new areas. The game is fun, and I am really really enjoying it but I wish there was one thing.. a moment's rest. I don't know if it is because I am still in the first area, but where I am you are always on the move, always behind hunted. There is no lulls, just combat, combat combat. I understand from a plot point but.. give me a break.. I'd like to be able to have a breather now and then. Not to mention the "Nemesis System" where the game randomly generates billions of "Boss" characters with unique strenghts and weaknesses.. sure you can exploit these weaknesses if you know them from interrogation. However a few small combat tactics before hand, and a good sword fight is really all you need to fight these freaks. I am getting tired of getting into a fight, then 10 bosses showing up.. as seen on my stream. Because every time a boss shows up.. there has to be an introduction for the boss where he banters with you.. and if you're in the middle of a combo or fight it stops to introduce the boss. Still pretty fun game, but not as replayable or unique as people thought + The Setting is authentic + Great flowing combat and parkour + healthy level up system + lots of options on how to approach combat + The stealth is simply amazing + Enemies you leave for dead, or think are dead can come back with disfiguring scars - The nemesis system was over hyped - Never time to stop and breath - To much copies from AC

I didnt really know much about this game before it released, other than it was Lords of the Ring-ish. I must say the game play mechanics and graphics are very satisfying, (besides the total assassins creed rip with scaling buildings and the map layout) and the combat is fluid, like a mix between batman and creed combat. The nemesis system is cool. If an enemy captain kills you he will gain power and rank, so when you beat him the next time its more rewarding in terms of items and xp.

If you like more door or the trilogies you'll love this game and only as a fighting game with levels up you're a coward to do some awesome combos if you want to fight game and more door you'll love this game

It is exactly like playing batman (with chain combos) but instead with a sword and sick executions/decapitation/dismemberment! As I mentioned, fluid fighting system and superb graphics. Fun game overall.
