I bough this game with no prior knowledge of any of the Lord of The Rings movies and immediately I liked playing this game. The gameplay mechanics are phenomenal and the skills and abilities that you gain throughout the game are amazing and are new and unique.

The best game set in the Middle Earth fantasy world. Great combat, similar to the Arkham games. The nemesis system sets this game apart. A pure joy to play.

I felt the game itself was a lot of fun. The combat was great. It had a feel like Assassin's Creed with the movement and combat, collectibles, etc. The biggest downside was the pathetically easy and uninspired ending.

Fun RPG aspects with interesting mechanics. There are a few things you need to grind, but considering it's only 15-30 hours (depending how big of a completionist you are) it's not that bad. Get the GoTY edition if you want the 2 DLCs included, or you can buy them later if you like the main game (each DLC is another 4-6 hrs).

One of the best open world, fast paced, strategic sandbox games I've played in a long time. Storyline keeps you interested, but isn't for the Lord of the Rings fanatic. Combat is so smooth with little to no lag when defending and countering oncoming attacks. Using strategy by gaining Intel on lead Captains was a great addition to the game, making it so you can't just hack and slash through the game, but using combinations and special abilities to take them out. Side missions are repetitive and do not really add to the game. Overall I would buy it all over again.

The game is a great start to the nemesis system. Over all the combat is excellent ant the story is ok. The boss battles could use some improvement.

Good story that keeps your focus and the fighting is like a mix between assassins creed and the batman arkham series. Overall a solid game.

Beware, this game has a learning curve and takes patience, but the story, pace, and combat are great fun and very unique. Excellent game.
