One of the few next gen games worth owning...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There aren't many games that feel next-gen. Sure there are a few Wii U games... but let's face it the Wii U is just catch up. The bounty system with dynamic promotions provides a depth and life to the world that simply wasn't capable in previous systems. A good game, interesting mechanics, and pleasant graphics already make this a solid game. This new system adding depth makes it a must buy.

Excellent game, one of the best for Xbox One
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an excellent game and is a mix of Assassins Creed movement system and Arkham Knight combat. The world is well designed and wide open, the quests are accessible and are of the right difficulty and the graphics are (mostly) amazing. If you're a LOTR fan, you owe it to yourself to get this. If you like either AC or Arkham, you're likely to find yourself very happy with this as well.

Great game!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm in my 40's so i'm not a hard core gamer by any means. Having a full time job I like games that I can get into without weeks of learning. I felt right at home immediately playing Shadow of Mordor. The attacks and combos are very easy to learn and are very intuitive. The gameplay is great and the blood and gore make it fun and entertaining. It was a great purchase.

Awesome open world brawler
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great open world adventure game set in the Lord of The Rings universe. It follows the story of Tailon, a Ranger from the Black Gate and his quest to find out why he and is family was killed. He is aided by the ghost of an elf, Celebrimbor, who shares Talion's body granting him combat abilities. The combat is fluid and similar to that found in The Batman Arkham games. The game also features a robust enemy progression mechanic called the nemesis system. This means that enemies in the game can rise up and become more powerful in the world if they manage to defeat you in combat. It's cool because you could have an low level enemy rise up in the ranks to become a boss. I would recommend this game to anyone looking for an open world brawler and anyone who is interested in LOTR lore.

Shadow of Mordor XBOX ONE
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Some may be hesitant because this is a LOTR game. Only in the background and story line is this really evident. I never knew LOTR games could be so satisfying. NOT for the faint of heart however. BEWARE of the excessive violence in this game parents! As an adult I'm super happy with this game. You don't be disappointed. Enjoy and GAME ON!

Solid but repetitive
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall pretty fun. Great action and the fighting is quite fun. Makes you really feel like you are swinging the sword and able to fight off hordes of enemies. It's really a great and fluid mechanic, but overall the story is just ok and the fighting gets a bit repetitive. Cool conquest system, but a little more story and change up in the missions would have been nice. Overall though a solid game if you can get it at a discount now.

Pretty good game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game reminds me of a mix between Assassin's creed and the new Batman: Arkham series. The combat is pretty similar to Batman but a bit more graphic and the climbing reminds me of AC. If you liked those games you will definitely enjoy this. I don't know how much replay-ability the game has but I'm having fun doing side quests which lengthen the story. Pretty solid on the lore as well if you are into that sort of thing.

I loved this game!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game was awesome. I'd describe it as a cross between Batman and Assassin's Creed. It's similar to Batman in that the game rewards you for putting together combinations of hits. The more hits in a row, the more power subsequent hits have. It's similar to Assassin's creed in free roam and tower climbing to open up maps to other areas. I like the fact that you can play in stealth mode too if you choose. There were so many different ways to approach each mission too! The Nexus engine used to control the warlords and chiefs if very original, and in my opinion whoever thought of it deserves an award. I played Destiny and quickly got BORED. I switched to Mordor and never looked back. This is one of the best games I've played in years!
