I had a great time with the previous title in this series, Shadow of Mordor, but Shadow of War seems to have learned the wrong lessons. While the Nemesis System has been deepened, it is also burdened with tons of other systems, such as the siege battles, orc management, etc., which turn the end game into a slog. The combat is still serviceable, but the mission design is repetitive, the story is fairly nonsensical, and hooks for DLC and "crates" are everywhere (though it is better now, post-patch). That said, the game is still fun, though bloated, and there are moments when everything clicks, leading to unpredictable and hilarious encounters.

Have the Xbox version and thought it was a great game then bought for a friend.

This was a Christmas gift for my son. He loves the game!

The fighting scenes remind me of the Batman game but to be perfectly honest, I like the first game better. It was easier and more strategic to beat the bosses. A good game though.

Assassin's Creed meets LOTR, I love this series so much!
