Sequel of Shadow of Mordor

It makes use of the awesome Nemesis system for ranking Orcs using a random creation for stats in where every time you were defeated by an Orc it would gain the knowledge and strength, making it harder to encounter later. The second game Shadow of war though suffers from an unbalanced game play by trying to implement the use of micro-transactions to charge real money for in game item to use on siege mode where you'd deploy Orcs recruited in battle to fight for you and secure forts making the game grinder and slower to progress. These has been removed now which is great if you haven't played it and want to now.

Better mechanics let down by poor story decisions

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.As a sequel to Shadow of Mordor, this game has better mechanics and combat overall, but is let down by some poor storytelling decisions and ending that is locked behind a tedious grind. Still, if you're a LOTR fan you will get a lot of fun playing this game if you can accept its weak points and decide not to follow the grind and slog to get to the true ending which you can just see on YouTube without wasting hours of your life trying to get there. Worth buying if you can get one at the $9.99 sale price they usually offer every once in a while.

Great sequel

its good, but not great
