Customers are saying

Customers value the engaging gameplay, compelling story, and innovative Nemesis System in Middle-earth: Shadow of War. Many also appreciate the game's substantial content and the option of a lower price point for an older title. While some found aspects repetitive, concerns were raised regarding the inclusion of in-game purchases. The action, difficulty progression, and open-world environment were also frequently praised.

I was happily surprised at Shadow of War. The story line isn't short and quick you really take the time to grow your character and upgrade skills and gear. The one con is that there quite a few glitches in the game where you won't be able to move or an enemy will be stuck in a wall you can't attack.

Ive had this game on steam for a while and never played it, but picked it up on PS4 and I absolutely love the entire game. It keeps you interested by keeping the challenges achievable but still difficult enough to be challenging.

I bought this game on deep discount so I can't complain about the value. It's a fun game, though largely more of the same from Shadow of Mordor. If you want more than that, then you'll enjoy this one for a bit.

The games good, the world is beautiful, the mechanics solid. The story was good, but at the end of the day the way they go about the actual ending of the game I simply never did it, to tedious for me and poorly done.

I really enjoyed Shadow of Mordor, but Shadow of war isn't as good as the first one. They corrected a bunch of stuff that was simply awful when the game was released, but the sour taste still stays in my mouth.

You'll like this game if you like Shadow of Mordor. I only played this game after the 17GB update that rid of the market/microtransactions that was the major criticism of this game. The first time I put the disc into my PS4, the update started auto-downloading.

I feel like the developers force you into microtransactions toward the end of the game. Its either spend real money or do a ton of grinding. It kind of ruin the game for me.

I actually pre-ordered this game and then probably 2 years later I bought the gold edition for all the expansion packs. It's fun to run around using your wraith powers. It's worth playing for sure.

If you like a beat em up game similar to Arkham, then this game is for you. Huge world to explore with a interesting fight structure where new enemies are made as you beat previous bosses. I recommend.

In my opinion I could’ve held off on this game, but for the price which was $19.99 I really didn’t want to pass it up. Just like I mention in the title this game was just so so for me.

Shadows of War stays true to the mechanics from the first game. However, the gameplay can become repetitive as tasks and side quests are always the same.

This is probably the closest game I've found to playing the old Starfox games. I got the physical toys so I could play with my kid, but I hear the digital version gets you more options for the buck.

This is a worthy sequel to Shadow of Mordor, with much more variety in the zones. It might be worth looking for the Definitive Edition to gain access to the expansion DLC.

I went through the first game way too quickly. This one I’m letting soak and marinate through me, going off track of the story as often as I can, because I still feel like I’m in the tutorial five levels in.
