This item met the requirements well and it came with rechargeable batteries but will also take regular AA batteries.

Once you do that the battery doesn’t charge. I’d return it but I had to use it for an event. Works fine if you put in 3 AAA batteries.

Posted .Please contact Support@midlandradio.com for assistance with this issue. The wrapping is meant to be fully intact and not cut. Please discontinue the use of the rechargeable batteries until you have contacted support. The batteries have a notice in red to not remove the outer casing.
