I would not recommend this stylus for heavy usage, but for casual or occasional use at a good price it serves well.
The tip is a bit too squishy, and I find it takes an awkward amount of pressure to get the stylus to register movement. Once you've got it going and kind of have the feel right, it's fine.
It also seems to have a fairly narrow angle that it registers well, so you have to kind of get use to holding it as perpendicular to the screen as possible.
Those caveats aside, if you want a stylus just to play around with or use a light to moderate amount, this is a cheap and reasonable alternative. Look for it on sale for under $10 for the best value.

Okay price for this stylus that's almost identical to every other stylus I found... my only complaint and why it's not 5 stars is the tip on this and 99% of other styluses... it's too wide when pushed down & squishy... it flattens out to a wide spot circle when pressed down & you MUST press down a lot to get the screen to react to it, so it's difficult to be very pinpointing specific to something small, or when numerous buttons are small & close together. It should have a finer point tip on the other end, still soft to the touch to prevent scratches, but small enough to hit small targets... so I would prefer one smaller tip OR two tips, one like this for big areas where accuracy isn't too important, and a fine, sharper pointed tip for small accurate clicks of small/close buttons.

This stylus is a great tool for my tablet. It is simple, works well, and is as comfortable to use as any pen. The only concern I have is that the soft tip may be a bit too shallow; I worry about the metal scraping the pad surface if I hold it at the wrong angle. This is a minor concern, however, as I would have to be writing at an odd angle for it to be an issue. I recommend this to anyone looking for a cheap, uncomplicated stylus for their tablet.

Nice stylist. It does the job, and easy to type with better than fingers. Type in goes fast if you are a full typist and not a swipper.
Could be an inch longer, come with a lanyard since it does have an eyelet hole. Replaceable tips would also be a great enhancement.

Keeps My IPad Fingerprint Free!

I mainly purchased the stylus because I hate all the fingerprints on my iPad. It has certainly helped with that. It also gives me more accuracy. The only thing I would change is the size of the pad. I would actually prefer a thinner pad on the tip for even more accuracy.

The stylus works very well on my capacitive smartphone. However, it is about the size of an executive pen, so it is kind of big. I was hoping for something more ball-point pen sized. But it works so well, I will keep it.

Purchased this for my android tablet (Viewsonic G-Tablet) and phone (HTC DInc). Works as intended. I needed something to use to annotate PDF files. I do live in Iowa, so a bonus feature is the ability to use this on my phone when I am forced to wear gloves.
The weight is appropriate, has the feel of a quality pen.
Don't expect this, nor any stylus, to be a precision device. It does the job it is intended to do.

We were looking at some bundles (case, screen protector, stylus) at Best Buy and decided to make our own bundle as the other stylus options didn't meet our needs for our price point. We wanted something easy to use for our kids along that also didn't scratch the screen. The soft tip along with the compact design made it fit well in our kids hands.

I was having a problem with both of my tablet and cell phone not recognizing my touch. I went to Best Buy and the sales staff suggested I try this stylus. I found this stylus easy to use with my Samsung Galaxy 10.1 tablet and my Samsung Galaxy 4G cell phone. It is light weight and big enough not to get lost in my purse or tablet case. It also has a rubber tip so it won't scratch the glass. My 4 year old granddaughter is even able to use it.

I love this stylus. It is heavier than a couple of stylus' I bought. I didn't like the way they felt and how light they were, so I wanted to get another one, and I have found a good one. I like the feel of the weight and it looks classier that the other ones I bought from another store.

Most touchscreens are capacitive resistance and will not respond to pressure. Try your iPad with gloves. A capacitive stylus has to be fairly wide and imprecise. With that in mind, this stylus was great for the price. You can find a slightly smaller or harder tip, perhaps with balance or size more to your liking but probably not at this price.
Expect these advantages over fingers:
1) Can be used without taking your gloves off.
2) Slightly greater accuracy.
3) Keeps screen cleaner.
Keep the tip clean as dirt can scratch your screen.
Keep your receipt as these kind of tips can tear or wear out within your 1 year warranty. Also, thick screen protectors will reduce the responsiveness

Solid metal body with a soft rubber tip. I bought it to use with my Samsung Fascinate, and to date (month and a half after purchase) it still works just fine. Prior to putting a Zagg screen protector on my phone, the Rocketfish stylus worked better with my phone than my own digits did. After applying the screen, I have to press a little harder to get it to register, and it can cause squeaking sounds when swyping or drawing with an app like Sketchbook. Overall, it's held up well, is the perfect size to keep around, and I much prefer this over the models with a built-in ink pen, as I'm sure I'll inadvertently draw on my screen with one of those.

Was looking for a cheap stylus to help type on tablet and smart phone. This one does it without spending a ridiculous amount (have you seen the price of the competing items???).
Only complaint is that the rubber tip is a little flimsy. I doubt it will last a year, but I would much rather pay the price for this one and lose it or replace, then spend a heck of a lot more for something that I would probably lose.

This stylus isn't practical for everyday use on the iPad. It's easier to use your finger to navigate the majority of the time. Where I've found this useful is when taking notes in apps like Good Notes. For underlining articles or writing, the stylus seems to move more naturally than when I try to write with my finger tip.
I wish it was cheaper though as it was expensive at $16.

I got this product to complete a minimum purchase for a promo offer; when I paid $16 for this stylus I received $30 back on my accessory package (which I was already purchasing anyway). I am pleasantly surprised that it actually is quite useful! I have fat fingers and find it gives finer control of my touchscreen tablet. It also has cut way down on the smudginess of my tablet screen. It's a little clumsy to type on the docking keyboard and use the stylus to manipulate the screen, however, so I still use my fingertip for scrolling and turning pages while writing. I wish there was something on the non-rubbery end like a pen tip or something like that but it's a simple gadget that does one thing well and doesn't cost very much or take up too much space.
