    Try again Misfit

Total piece of junk. Unclear how this got past Misfit's quality control department (if they have one) and released into the wild. Where do I start? I gifted these to my two boys (ages 10 and 8) for Christmas. They were excited to have a fitness tracker and it actually motivated them to compete against each other daily to see who could reach their goal first. However, as others have mentioned, the device doesn't "clip" into the band with any kind of acknowledgment that allows one to feel confident that it won't fall out. And fall out they do. Not only that, my younger son's tracker has already started malfunctioning. This was after it was about a week old. Suffice it to say that both of these got returned right away. Try again Misfit.

Its a really good product for the price. It does what I need it to do when it comes to tracking steps and sleep time.

Good for 1 month only... Not water resistant

I got this as a great deal for only 20, I thought I should try the activity tracker trend with this, but you get what you pay for... It worked for 1 month, but as soon as I washed my hands and some water splashed on it, (couple drops) it stopped working, It did not register my sleep or any activity sometimes. It took a while for the misfit customer service to replace it and the same thing happened with the new one they sent me... I will invest on something else and stop wasting my time with this...

Middle of the road, good deal

First off it should be recognized you're getting what you pay for. It has nice features but lacks terribly on accuracy. I used this as a pedometer and sleep tracker. The pedometer does well enough, obviously not the most accurate, but the sleep tracker is borderline useless. I got up and walked around a few times one restless night and it read as my being asleep solid the whole time. But you're getting two frackers for a quarter the price of one of the others. At the very least it can be an aesthetic reminder to be more active and an approximate-time keeping watch. The lights are easy to read. Good luck getting it in the strap holder, that's a huge design flaw. Generally I'd reccomend it based only on price.

I purchased this after seeing all of the features this watch can do. I especially love how it can track your sleep patterns at night and save it to your phone. The price was very affordable! I will be buying more as gifts for Christmas!

Tracker and Software work, band is epic FAIL

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The Fitness Tracking Functionality works well and the software is functional but not exceptional. The wrist band and clip however are an Epic FAIL in design and durability. The Flash module doesn't stay in the band or supplied clip very well and like most others on the forums, mine wristband cracked and I no longer own the Flash Module as it has fallen out and is now lost. The ring which holds the Flash Module seems brittle and cracked in half releasing the Flash Module at some point during my day before I noticed it missing. The end! Argh!

This would be great! If it worked...

Received this for Christmas last year. Decided to finally use it this past November. Couldn't get it to work with the software. There is very sparse support from Misfit. The posted guides on their website are out of date as the software has been updated. In my experience this simply wouldn't work. I could sync it fine, it would appear to count steps, but the one button would not register and so all related functions were unusable. I actually believe it to be a software issue but as the support is so limited I have no idea.

I bought three of these for X-mas gifts. Bands broke on all three. The tracker it self is great! The customer service is good from the manufacture. But please make a band that will last.

    Worst Product

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

While the actual device isn't a problem, the app is terrible. It constantly syncs my data and erases whole days at a time. I've contacted their "customer service" and it was a joke. Their continued answer is make sure your app is up to date. IT ALWAYS IS! After 2 months of complaints, they sent me a journal. Yes, like a paper journal. Their response was that if I lost data, this would help me track it. WHY? I bought a device to track it for me. After 3 months, they have finally agreed to replace it. If it's the app though, that does no good. Buy something better. I learned my lesson with going with something "cheap" to try out.

    Don't waste your money

I bought this not wanting to spend a lot of money for a fitness tracker without liking them. Got this on sale. Riget out of the box it has been nothing but problems! First it said it was connected to another account, customer service took 2 days to get back to me, by that time I figured it out myself. Now it will not sync with anything. Been wearing it for four days, says I haven't taken a single step. Clasp unhook it self everything it's bumped. Horrible. Will be returning as soon as I get a chance.

    Really Sorry

I wanted to give 5 stars. If I had rated this when I first got the tracker it would have been 5. But I got distracted. I had Shine for almost 3 months and my battery was dead. No worries I had read that was about right. Then I received a package from Misfit. It was two batteries and the tool to open the back. It was the weirdest thing. About a week later Shine stopped synching and tracker would not display. I changed the battery again and nothing. So here is my one star review. I paid $110.00 + Tax in an Apple store. I was using the fact that Apple carried it, they had some faith behind the Misfit company and Shine. Silly me.

Product worked great for less then a week. Band broke in two. I know it was not too expensive, however I did not buy it from the dollar store. Looks like I did though.

    absolutely no product support

I Bought it. It worked and provided some useful info on the Android app. My phone developed a problem and I had to get a different one. I can't disconnect the Flash from the old phone to get it linked to the new phone. I contacted Misfit via their support page and got a standard reply- in a nut shell, "We'll get back to you". They haven't. I Can't use the flash now so I'm returning it to the store and I'm not going to exchange it for another.

    Miscounts steps

I had two pedometers while using this device. This device was consistently 1000 or so steps behind the other one. While it's got some bells and whistles that I liked, none of it matters if it doesn't do the primary task well. It's like having a good stereo in a broken down car.
