I actually already own the shine and when the flash came out I thought I would try it. It is a very nice tracker, but I thought in comparison to the shine it looked a little cheap. I was also interested in the accessories you can get with the shine and these aren't available yet for the flash. For the money this is an awesome device and should be considered.

I love the features of the pedometer, but both the clip and the watchband broke within 2 weeks. They are very thin around the dial and can't be superglued. Now I have to carry the dial in my pocket or bra. Wouldn't pay more than $25 for it.

Love the misfit, only down fall is the band. I haven't had any problems, but it's made very cheap and I'm afraid tracker device will pop out. Currently looking for a replacement band for it. I have a "charge" But I feel this is way more accurate.

At first it is a little frustrating and the bluetooth needs to reset more than I would like... but it works and it counts and has been really helping me out. I have not used it for sleeping yet, but the walking part is awesome and it helps me reach my goals. You do have to resync it more than once sometimes to get the data to sync with the phone, but for the price and features it really does a great job. I would recommend this as a first time device to get you started before investing into something more expensive. In 6 months when the battery runs out, I may replace it with something much nicer since I know I like the idea now and it works for me and my lifestyle.

Great for beginners. Does what it says it does. Not 100% accurate for step count when worn on wristband. Emailed company to ask why and received a quick response. Wear in clasp on shoe, much better!!! Still wear on wrist until I do an activity then switch to clasp. For the price you really can't beat it.

My fiancé has been after me about an activity watch when she came across this and pitched it to me. We purchased it got it home and realized how cheap it was the grace just pushed in the watch band no click or nothing to know if it was secure seemed it would fall out if the watch band wasn't as tight as you could get it against your wrist. Also no arrows to show you if you put it in right. There are no numbers on face so you have know way of knowing how to snap it in so that 12 o'clock is at the top. Just glowing dots!!! Don't be cheap spend the extra hundred and get a more comfortable more functionality Fitbit or something to that standard!

It was a nice tracker, but I was a bit unsure how the sleep quality is tracked when there is no way to change it to sleep mode on the device itself, only in the app I found it.

Strap and the clip are of cheap quality but the shine device is pretty good. My clip is broken within a month of use and i never used the strap as i dont like the way that strap looks. But then wt can you expect from a 30$ tracker. Other then the clip/strap device is pretty good.

Let's be honest . . . these devices will always have critics: It doesn't do this, it doesn't do that, it broke (but it is never my fault). But after researching many different options, we settled on the Misfit and couldn't be happier. With both a belt clip and a wristband, you can wear it where it makes sense (if you're walking, the belt makes WAY more sense). It's available in a variety of colors, gives you progress towards your daily goal, has a watch function, syncs easily, and doesn't cause skin rashes . . . all at a fraction of what the fancy trackers cost. The one drawback: no Android support, although that is not a problem for us with 2 iPads. So when you're ready to buy a fitness tracker ask yourself a couple questions: Is a lack of Android support a problem for you? Do you really need to track your sleep (we didn't, although the Misfit does offer it)? And, what are you getting for that extra $50, or $100 you're about to spend for that other brand of tracker? If you're like us, you'll save the money and buy a Misfit.
