I really like the shine by misfits wearables. Put it on and don't think about it after that. There is no need to take it off and charge it, it is water proof (I have been swimming with it on) which makes it the ideal activity tracker for swimmers. It tracks activity and sleep at least as well as JawBone's up and the Nike fuel band and it looks a whole lot better than either. This is also the only activity tracker that gives you some options as to how and where to put it on. The app is the only weakness of this quality piece of techno jewelry. The app is not terrible but after using up and nike fuel it lacks a few things like the ability to put a mood in your timeline, add notes to your activity or day, track eating and I wish it integrated with some of the other tracking apps out there like edmondo or strava to integrate the information from those apps with the data from the Shine tracker. With an improved app I would give this 5 stars after 3 solid weeks of use so far. The only other request I have for the company is to make one slighter larger for men's wrists, the shine can tend to look a bit feminine because of it's size.

I was hoping this would keep better track of my movements, and it did for 2 weeks until it fell out. The company made money off of me. The strap doesn't hold it in.

What can I say but that this Shine device is fabulous! I have been using it now for several years and the company continues to make good on their promises! They promised an Android app and then came out with it. They promised more stylish ways to carry it and they came out with the leather bands and BLOOM neckace ...which is a great and sneaky way to wear it. I have had my Shine through no less than 2 dozen mud runs (endurance events in the mud, muck and water). My daughter has taken it to swim practice with her and it measures her strokes. It's been through the washer..and dryer and then in my bra drawer for a few weeks before finally found right where I left it...clipped with the extra rubber clip that came with it. I never take it off...wear it 24/7 (unless my daughter stole it from my band when I wasn't looking)! The customer service has been UNBELIEVABLE! Every time I've had an issue they have solved it without question and sent me replacement batteries unexpectedly...just becuase I had it registered....and an extra sports band becuase mine was getting weak! They have created the Android app as they promised. And stylish! I have now bought the Bloom necklace and a different color shine is on its way! Everyone asks when I'm out what it is and I tap it twice and can tell the time and they are all in awe! Great conversation piece as well as versitle. LOVE IT! BUY IT!

I loved the option to wear this tracker...anywhere. Unfortunately, that's about it. I hate the app, interfaces with limited apps, and worst of all, it has a weird point system that I couldn't figure out instead of just straight up challenges.

I got this tracker back in towards the end of September. So far the battery has been great, it has gone down to mid battery life and I sync every few weeks with the app. I primarily got this so I can accompany and encourage my dad when he was using his fitbit he got from his job. The waterproofing on this tracker is great. I really haven't taken it off except when I'm playing with the band out of boredom :D No worries when in the shower or if you wanted to take a dip in the pool. A great product for the price.

Great concept, poor design, couldn't get it to sync with anything. Wanted latest and greatest devices and no pc sync. Returned it,bought other product, much happier, same concept, easier to use and more flexible

Well let me say I love my Misfit Shine! Very accurate and very very light weight. And most of all it water resistant to 150 feet. Tracks sleep very well and is cool to see how it says you slept. Only complaint is that the taps to display your goal progress can be a bit glitchy at times! Though that should not stop you from buying by any means.

I bought this to track biking and my sleep. It takes me a long time to fall asleep and the shine thinks I'm sleeping when I'm just laying in bed. I was hoping that it would track it better.

I bought this tracker because I was exchanging this one for the Misfit flash, which I was hoping would be a cheaper alternative to this one, and it was cheaper alright, but not in a good way. This one in comparison to the flash is amazing. It syncs flawlessly with the app, it doesn't even feel like I am wearing it at all, and I pretty much wear this all the time. Sleeping, walking, everywhere. I can sync it at the end of the day or on the go, and the app has a ton of options to personalize it to you. I like the tap feature, compared to the click or pressing that you have to do on the flash. This one if definitely the best activity tracker that is out there right now. It is small, efficient, and stylish. Misfit not has options to wear this on different styles of necklaces, embedded into shirts, your shoes, pocket, shoe, different watch band options- and now, a super stylish Swarovski crystal line that has just launched. Amazing company. Well worth the price.

The disc pops out and doesn't keep accurate count. Thank goodness for honest people when they find the disc on the floor

The lights were hard to read couldn't see them outside and using it as a clock was impossible

I've tried just about every activity tracker on the market and this is, without a doubt, my favorite. It's sleek, minimalistic, and does exactly what I need it to (all very reliably with a battery that doesn't require charging). I've heard some complain about the tracker's accuracy, but the Shine seems pretty consistent with what the other devices track in terms of steps taken and calories burned. I love that it is basically waterproof (water resistant up to 50 meters) and has a battery that lasts approximately 4-6 months. Replacing the battery is easy, too. It requires a little CR 2032 watch battery that you can buy pretty much anywhere for less than $10. The app for this is great especially if you're an iOS user. I highly recommend this device.

I love my Shine. It's super easy to use and set up. Plus it's beautiful and doesn't look out of place with clothing that isn't workout gear. You can also wear it on the clasp if you want it to be a bit less noticeable with an outfit. Just be careful of placement when using the clasp, it got knocked off my clothing and I didn't notice it was missing until way later. I never found it and had to replace it. The app for the iPhone is awesome too. Just the right amount of information to get motivated, and keep track of your progress. I also love the sleep tracking option too. I do recommend reading the info. on Misfit's FAQ page. It has good explanations of how Shine works and tracks your calories and progress. It helped me to better understand the way it works and what it's capable of. The customer service at Misfit is AWESOME too! They actually care about the customer, and they have gotten back to me quickly whenever I had a question or concern. When I had a problem, they happily made it right. I highly recommend this device to help get motivated to be more active. It's a fun way to do it.

Not accurate at all. Waste of money I returned it after trying it for a week.

My wife has been using this since Christmas and we both love it. It just works for her and no tech support for me. To address other comments. First you don't have to tap the device against your phone to sync. Yes they even advertise this, but it's Bluetooth LE. Just use your finger to tap on the sync screen and it syncs while it is still on your wrist or anywhere close to your phone. The best part is no weekly charging. That sounds simple but it really makes a difference. Next it is a really good looking device. My wife gets compliments on it as if it was a bracelet. Lastly it appears to be very accurate both in daily activities and sleep. It certainly tracks her overall sleep very well. Who really knows about deep sleep but it does seem to track her overall feeling about sleep quality very well. I wish I had one (hint hint).

Did not come with a wrist band or necklace. Traded for Fitbit.

The shine is great at keeping up with a variety of activities. It doesn't matter if I'm swimming, running, biking, or sleeping it maintains accurate data. It's dressier than other brands so i can wear it at work also.

I am using misfit since August this year. I love it. Works very nice and looks sleek. Battery holds around 3-4 month and its waterproof!!! Recommend!!
