Amazing game. I used to LOVE playing World Class Baseball on the TurboGrafx-16 and haven't been able to find such joy in a baseball game since ... until now. Literally played about 26 hours in two days. Could not stop. Especially drawn to conquest mode. Hitting vs humans and even higher difficulty PC is tough because it's hard to read where ball is going ... so I play mostly on Veteran (2nd difficulty) and have a lot of good games. Stealing is a way easy on that diff not that I learned how but the game still has me unable to put it down. Lots of different ways to play. Lots of fun. Great graphics. Good mechanics. Sometimes my catcher seems uber-slow to get to the a passed ball or bunt but ... game just rocks.

Graphics are decent and the responsiveness is good. Could be easier to navigate the menu but overall a fun game that I would recommend.

MLB the Show has become the best baseball game series from launch on the PS2. The Show 17 offers many improvements from last year's game like a new game mode called "retro mode" where the game is aimed at casual gamers who want to play an MLB game with an arcade or 8-bit era feel to it. The graphics and animations have been improved also. The baseball now has improved physics which makes the game more predictable, and road to the show has added new perks and RPG elements which enhances the gameplay experience. A conquest mode was also added to diamond dynasty. MLB the Show has proven over the years that there is no equal or competition to this series, and it is a must have game for MLB fans.

The show 17 is so realistic sometimes I think I am watching a real game. Graphics are super and the ball parks are so real.Players attributes are amazing . Both pitching and hitting is fantastic.

Great game for first time baseball gamers. Realistic graphics and gameplay. Controls are simple enough for the novice yet challenging enough for the experienced gamer. Home Run Derby is a blast.

You would think that lack of MLB licensed games would be bad for competition, for a game that pretty much rules the roost. Fact is, that EA Sports and 2K Sports could make a baseball game and it will not be up to par with this year's installment of The Show. The presentation is top notch. You really feel a part of the action. One thing that struck me about the sounds of the game, is the difference between playing in a minor league stadium versus the Big Leagues. You can visually see the lack of attendance at MiLB games. Big games calls for big crowds at the MLB level. And along with it, the claps, cheers, and PA. Adding your own entrance music and walk-up music adds to the engagement you partake in, making the game your own. The controls take getting used to, however there are a number of preset controls to choose from. From the initial loading of the game, you get to tweak these here, and play with them a bit before proceeding and deciding what fits you best. That way you don't have to go through the Settings later to try to find them. I recommend the game to any baseball fan, whether you are new to the series and picking it up for the first time, or a seasoned veteran.

Enjoy graphics and love the built in tips and samples. Makes it easy to pick game up quickly and then really enjoy playing.

I'm having a blast with the game. The gameplay is excellent. I've read the online play suffers though. Does not impact me much since I play franchise often. The Retro mode is pretty cool also.

This is one of the best baseball games out! The controls are smooth and the graphics are supreme! I think the story mode could have had a little more personality but overall still a great game.

This is simply put the best baseball video game I've ever played. The graphics, controls, feel are all top notch in my opinion. So far I have only played RTTS, but it has been great so far.

A gift for my 8 year old son. He plays it all the time. Good graphics and you can play modern day or a retro version.
