Great gameplay and ease of use. Could get boring fast. They needed to spend more time developing commentary, celebrations and features.

The graphics are real nice, but the commentary has to be muted because it's terrible, and I find it interesting that players still can basically turn into ghost like creatures as they float straight through objects in their paths just like they did back on systems and games 20 years ago and animations are really comically glitchy......its like everybody involved phoned this one in....Expected so much more on a PS4 game like the show....I would only say it's worth getting if it's selling for about $20 because that's about all it is worth....Instead I'm back to playing mlb 2k11 on xbox360

The last MLB the show I owned was 2014. I can’t see buying these games every year but they finally had a Yankee on the cover so I wanted to buy. However, with that being said... I thought it’d be a huge improvement over 2014. Wrong. The commentating hasn’t gotten ANY better, there’s still an issue with check swinging even when you fully commit, my outfielders have missed catching way too many outs that would have been cake for the professional players in a real game and cost me many runs, the infielders sometimes hold the ball for way too long when you’re clearly telling them to throw it... just awful. I’m confident in saying they’ll never upgrade these games... they’ll just keep updating the rosters to get more money.

Very good, but still room for improvement

I've been very happy with this game as it's pretty much the only way the Texas Rangers will ever have a good season. Haha! Something that needs improvement is the commentary. Just swapping out announcers isn't the answer. If anything, they should shave it down to two, and hire guys who aren't blowhards who bloviate to hear their heads rattle. It would be nice if they would have been a bit more on the ball with keeping up with how the Angels were going to use Shohei Otani. So many gamers are probably wanting to use him as both a pitcher and batter, so missed opportunity there. It would be nice if players looks were updated too. And the mix of real player photos and renders really takes you out of the immersion. I liked 2K's approach in WWE 2K where all posed pictures are renders. But overall, a great game that you will definitely enjoy.
