Something's missing
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Vampire Weekend set a high bar with their first album. The songs were as catchy and poppy as can be. They've never reached that point since. Modern Vampires of the City tries to impress with its use of numerous instruments which keeps it fun but distracts from us from the lack of any memorable songs. The album is light and enjoyable enough but there is just something missing that I hope the band locates soon.

okay...if you like that sort of thing
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought a vampire weekend album a few years ago, and I thought it was okay. I bought this album because it was nominated for a Grammy and I wanted to give them a second chance, but I walked away with the same reaction. They just aren't my thing I'm afraid.

Not as good as debut CD.
