You just connect it to the antenna jack on your television, and scan for channels. I get over 60 channels. Some are repeats, and some don't come in as clear as the others, so I'm gonna say there are over 40 that I can actually use which is fine with me. I like the fact that the coaxial cable is a nice length because it gives you the flexibility to move the antenna around to get the best reception. The only drawback is that there is a station that I really like. I get perfect reception in my living room, but only get audio in my bedroom. I'm giving it 5 stars because I think you get a lot from an antenna that costs only $30.00. I recently as they say "cut the cable cord". With these antennas and my Roku boxes I'm good.

I thought I would get a lot better reception and more channels but I didn't. Perhaps it's because I'm in a mountainous area but actually the mountains are pretty far away from where I'm living like a few miles the rest is all clear near me. Very disappointed but if you need an antenna it's just as good
