Customers are saying

Customers frequently mention the excellent reception, range, and picture quality of the Arc Indoor Curved HDTV Antenna. Many also praise its ease of use and setup, along with its attractive design and reasonable price. However, some customers note that signal strength can be affected by weather conditions, and a few find the antenna larger than expected. Overall, the positive feedback on performance and ease of use outweighs the concerns about size and occasional signal issues.

Good Antenna but needs appropriate placement

Location, location, location. When I tried this next to my tv, I only got 3 channels without pixelation. When I tried it in my window, I got 37 channels, but I'd get interference when UPS truck parked in the street or a school bus drove by. So I tried it up in the attic. 52 channels, no interference. Now, a lot of those channels are not worth watching (can anybody really tolerate a 4:3 standard def picture anymore?). They consist mainly of home shopping channels and tv shows from the 50's and 60's. But the big local networks do come in clearly, i.e. CBS, NBC, FOX, Public Broadcasting, ION, TBN. Worth it to have access to local channels for local news, emergencies, road conditions, etc.

My wife and I are starting to get tired of Comcast and paying $$$ each month. So on a whim, we decided to look at one of those indoor antennas so that we could try and drop our cable rate to a cheaper price. We are using our smaller flat screen TV in the bedroom as a test. This MOHU Arc antenna was so easy to plug in, set up, etc.. It quickly and easily found 28 stations right here in Richmond, Virginia - and even picked up channel 29 out in Charlottesville! The signal is strong and the picture is crystal clear too! We both love it and are deciding on getting another one for the main TV in the living room too!

Best budget antenna. Definitely worth it.

This isn't among the top of the line antennas, but it's also priced to reflect that too. So it balances. This definitely isn't the cheapest antenna, by a long shot. Super easy to find cheap antennas around $10-$15. Go get one, but keep the receipt too. I should clarify that this isn't the best budget antenna in terms of price, it's the budget antenna that's actually A, worth the price and B, still does reasonably well. Something of a bonus: it's NOT an amplified model. Meaning you can get and add a separate amplifier later or if you currently have an amplifier (perhaps from a previous antenna) and simply add it here. That's a win-win to me. Cause odds are if you're after a budget antenna you still want a good overall experience from it, just on your time so you can fit it into your budget. Or perhaps, again, you already have an amplifier and just need a legit antenna to pair with it. Either way, this fits the bill. And even out of the box, the way it is, non amplified it's still an extremely good antenna. Don't necessarily require a booster for it. Lastly, it's coming from a top & established maker of antennas: Mohu. Most notorious I'd say for being the innovators behind paper thin antennas (the "Leaf") pretty much their whole lineup is definitely very high on the list of quality antennas. Definitely will get your money's worth here, absolutely recommend...........for the price.

Works great, easy to mount and adjust

I tried the Mohu Leaf first but the amplifier actually made things worse and even though it’s “multi-directional” it still needs to be pointed in certain directions to enable reception for many stations. So, I took it back and picked up the Mohu Arc with no amplifier. The Arc works great! It looks classy and you can easily point and shift it to whatever direction is needed for a specific channel. I was able to integrate it into a decorative tree next to our TV (see pic) to elevate the antenna and improve reception further. Now I get over 40 channels including all the HD networks. Then, the only thing I have to do to get weak channels is slightly turn the tree. We don’t watch much TV so an adjustment here or there is no trouble.

Recovered stations lost with TV frequency change

When FCCV required 9/11 frequency changes, I lost 8 channels when scanned with older antenna (10 years). While previous antenna was adequate, I was surprised that upon scanning for stations today I no longer received all the regular channels. With Mohu-Arc Indoor curved antenna I regained the missing channels.

My family is planning on getting rid of cable and purchased this to see how good reception it had. I had tried a different antenna several years ago and had very good results. I chose Mohu because it overall is very well reviewed. However this unit was very poor. It pulled in only 3 channels out of the 20+ available near me. I had much better luck with the older one (which I don't have anymore). I moved the unit from the window to a higher shelf with no better results. Also the design is very poor. The stand is supposed to attach to slots in the back of the unit, but only the bottom slots would attach making it very flimsy. Pros: easy returns at Best Buy!

For the price and the fact that it's NOT an amplified model this does more than alright for itself. And I kinda suspected beforehand it would. For an indoor antenna it's a respectable size model, and when you think about it that usually equates to a better antenna. It's as simple as that because it's physically larger than any others that are smaller means it has more area for reception. I mean, the antennas that claim to be small and mighty rarely are and the fact that they are physically smaller than many others is pretty obviously why they come up short, by comparison that is. Also a nice here is that it's not an amplified model, meaning one could add an amplifier to it if they wanted to thus enhancing it's performance even further. But even out of the box as it is it's a well above average antenna. Great for those looking to cut the cord.

I bought one HDTV antenna and then bought a second one. I love them as I cut the cord with Suddenlink, and I get the basic channels plus more.

    Waste. Of. Money.

"Rabbit ears" antennas are superior to this product. I bought this in hopes of at least a bit of improvement in signal strength for local channels that I can tune in, sometimes (hit or miss). But this is worse because there are no antennas to adjust. This item REDUCED the signal strength I got with the rabbit ears, does not respond to "Auto-tuning" and is a Waste. Of. Money.

Took a while to find a good spot, but it has worked well since; not as simple as advertised. The cord could be a little longer as well.

Set it up at 7ft above the floor. Worked on the first channel we tried, seemed a little better than our rabbit ears...for about 20 seconds, then started to pixelate. I tried to turn it a little to see if I could get a better picture. Then it stopped working completely. After that we couldn't get a signal at all. Taking it back to Best Buy tomorrow.
